@Lauryn she only has it for sleeps so I'm gonna try but she goes to nursery so that'll be a test 😂 she gas a teddy bear so hoping the attachment transfers to that x
We went cold turkey on the dummy one month ago and it just took one night of hell! It was the best decision. Just give alllll the comfort in other ways and it wont take long
We haven’t weaned our LO off the dummy yet but are doing it next month after our travels. I was dreading it but was just reminded that having our little ones cry in our arms with close body contact is not a bad thing. It’s been hard for me to bear to hear her cry but if you’re there, she will still feel safe and a couple days of fussing over a missing dummy will turn into her forgetting all about the dummy. I started using the carrier to put her to sleep for extra deep pressure and she doesn’t need the dummy for every nap anymore, so I slowly started using it less and feel less stressed about it now
How much does she use it now? I have stopped giving mine her’s at all except for sleep times now and am going to gradually start removing it for naps. You do just need to ride it out once you remove completely. It will take a few days but she will get used to it eventually. You could try introducing a small comforter instead
