Hello…. Sorry for long post in advance!
My little boy is 5 months and the last couple of weeks he has reduced his milk intake and seems less interested in bottles.
A few weeks ago he was taking 6oz no probs sometimes more but now he is taking variable amounts from as little as 2oz up to 6oz a feed. He is also seeming to sometimes go longer between feeds.
He did have a cold so this explains why his intake had lowered but he is now back to full health and still not taking a great deal.
Could this be he is telling us he is ready for something other than milk, should I start to look at weaning him early? I have been told by the health visitor to try get as close to 6 months as possible and I know this is the guidance. I just wondered if anyone else’s babies have been like this and if so what did you do.
Thanks everyone so much!

Most babies drink less milk when it is this warm. It usually doesn't have anything to do with wanting solids. Only a few more weeks & you can start weaning him anyway 😉

I know lots of women who started weaning at 5 months with no issues 🥰
