My last baby

I’m on my 4th baby. I have never been able to tell the difference between Braxton hicks and real contractions, my Braxton hicks were constant, barely any break in between and would go on all day at times. The cramping is soo painful and irritating it could put me in tears. When I’m in the hospital and they’re asking me how far apart my contractions are, it really confuses me because they say not to go in until they’re 5 minutes apart but they’re literally constant. With my last baby the nurse would constantly be coming into my room to check up on me because they were one after another and she would ask me how I was feeling because I was having really strong contractions. (Seeing them on the monitor). I would typically be sitting up hanging out because at that point I was so use to the pain I wouldn’t be able to tell when I was about to have a baby. My issue is, the last 10 weeks SUCK. I’m in soo much pain in my abdomen, my lower back is on fire and don’t even get me started on the hemorrhoids. I CANT DO ANYTHING. But I have to because I’m a new SAHM to the rest of my children. I can’t get rid of the back pain, I can’t get rid of the hemorrhoids, the only time the cramping isn’t excruciating is when I’m laying down but I am a full time mom all 3 and under so bed rest isn’t an option. Idk how to survive the next two months

Hi, I'm also pregnant with my fourth baby. I would say that you describe the difference between Braxton Hicks and contractions pretty well because of the way they're constant vs come and go. Contractions become very rhythmic, even if you are experiencing coupling contractions, at least you're able to identify the 5 min apart, then 2 min apart, then 5, then 2, so on and so forth where Braxton Hicks can feel like a tightening that lasts for multiple minutes-hours and yes, even what will sometimes feel like all day. Is it possible to try a miles circuit or some postures to help baby into a new/better placement or position inside you?? I would suggest a prenatal chiropractor appointment, acupuncture, bio freeze on joints, prenatal massage, hot/warm baths daily and yes.. maybe a belly band to alleviate some of the weight. For hemorrhoids, try prune juice (like an ounce max), metamucil, and calm (magnesium) drink concoction and just pray for your butthole LOL im sorry 😞 you're sooo close and it'll get better ♡

Pregnancy after c section

What time scale did everyone get pregnant again after a c section?
I know the doc said they recommend eating at least a year to 18 months but it took 4 years to get pregnant the first time after being told we could not conceive naturally so not wanting to stop it happening knowing it could take a very long time again but also worried.

Hospital bag (UK)

What did everyone pack for their section? I'm staying in for 3 days due to mental health, not really sure what I'll need to bring, feeling very nervous. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

Labour

Think im a bit confused really, i went into traige as was having contractions eveey 3-5mins. Since being here im now having them every 2-3mins which was confirmed with the machine and i think the toco was 90-100 and they feel painful and my lower back is in loads of pain but apparently im only just over 2cm dilated maybe, she has said i can stay here for a bit longer to see if things progress as had a previous quick birth as well but i dont understand why the pains are coming this quick if im only 2cm dilated and feel a bit deflated from it also.

I had a sweep this morning also.

C section trauma ?

Is it a thing to be traumatised by a c section delivery? I’m 4 weeks pp after having an emergency c section. I won’t go into the ins and outs to what got me there 😂
Nothing went wrong in the surgery at all, it was just incredibly intense, overwhelming and scary, but luckily my baby was delivered safe!
However I’m finding my birth experience quite difficult to even think about and when I do, I feel a horrid gut wrenching feeling, my heart aches and I just uncontrollably cry! My body feels really alien to me, like it’s not my own and I just feel really let down.
