How many feeds/bottles is your baby having?

Mine has 6 feeds/bottles during the day and also nurses multiple times during the night. She has 3 meals per day (not huge amounts though).

Hi Alessandra, that seems like a lot if having a bottle and a large amount is in the bottle? But I could be wrong as my son is EBF so not sure on bottle amounts for this age. i'm quite sure my son never takes a full feed (ie 4 or 5 oz) in a breastfeeding sitting. My son has 3 meals a day (also not a big eater but the foods are high fat) his 1st feed is when he wakes up, then 2nd feed before his first nap. 3rd feed before his 2nd nap, 4th feed before his final nap. Then 5th feed before he goes to bed. He also wakes probably 3 or so times per night 🫠💀 I think it's a lot of feeds for us too actually but it's a comfort thing for him most likely. From what I've read the feeds should be decreasing but im yet to see this

She has 120/150ml per bottle.
So not a big difference compared to your son who has 5 feeds…

Yeh okay maybe that's normal for this age then? Because 120ml doesn't seem that much. I feel like babies who have less are probably sleep trained or night weaned to not feed overnight

yeah, I was also expecting to be decreasing and be more spaced out during the day. I guess she likes little and often. And yeah, during the night might be a comfort thing. She’s also teething. Last night I fell asleep while she was feeding at 4am and wake up at 5am and she’s still latched lol

When do things get easier?

As we entered the 9-12 month stage, my son started crawling and pulling himself up. He also became more clingy and does not play alone, still doesnt sleep through the night, and this week has been sick (so EVERYTHING amplified). I am tired and overwhelmed. Please lie and tell me things get better. 🥺

Colostrum storing?

Has anyone successfully extracted colostrum before the baby’s born? Apparently it gets produced from 16w pregnant and you can start storing it in the freezer but I’m 34w looking at my nipples and the syringes on amazon wondering how it works?? Like what did you use and did it hurt? 🥲

4 month bed time

What time do you put your babies to bed?
What time do you start your 'routine?'
My LO currently goes to bed around 10.30pm, and I know i need to start bringing it forward. Everytime ive tried, it takes longer for my LO to settle.
We are exclusively breastfeeding. Any advice Mamas?

Self settling

Any tips or advice of how to teach 6.5month old to self settle? I’m up multiple times in the night to cuddle her back to sleep and put the dummy in. I understand she will wake up and want a cuddle etc but any tips on self settling would be appreciated 🥰

Baby losing weight

Hi all, it's been a long time since I had a baby (my son is 15!). My daughter is 10 days old and was 9lb born, she has since lost weight at every appointment and is at a 12% loss. I am breast feeding every two hours for over an hour and topping her up every feed. I pump and can get 60ml in 10 minutes so I know my supply is okay. Anyone had this before? Can give me some tips? I currently feel like I'm letting my baby down.
