My baby is 7 weeks old. Has anyone else started a routine? Do you go upstairs at a certain time?
Also what’s everyone’s 7 week old babies feeding and do they sleep for long stretches on a night?

My little boy is 6 weeks old, we don’t really have a routine yet but we stick to having his last feed around 10:30/11 then we go to bed, he sleeps from then until around 6/6:30, then feeds and sleeps until 9/9:30 (sometimes earlier if he’s unsettled) he feeds 5oz every 3/3.5 hours. We bath every other night but the days we bath him we do it before his last feed around 9:30/10, which I’m not sure if this is too late but it seems to work he comes out the bath and has a feed straight away and falls straight to sleep, the bath seems to really settle him so don’t want to bath him earlier and then have to wake him for last feed! I've just started to put a routine in place. Bath/shower/cloth wash around 8.30/9 then head to bed. Maybe do a bit of massage or reading books but generally a chill activity in a dim lit room for an hour ish (depending on his mood and energy levels). Then feed (EBF) and he falls asleep feeding then put him in bed.
His first three weeks he would sleep for a four or five hour stretch then be up every two or three. The last couple weeks he's now up every two hours for feeding. Doesn't wake up all the way, just he fusses enough that I know he needs a feed but stays basically asleep all night from 10/11 till 6ish.

Yeah so I have a toddler so we are trying to get into baby's and toddler's routine but also trying to get baby ready for learning night and day.
Make sure day is light and loud.
Usually give him a bath between 6 and 6.30pm. Then he has his bedtime bottle at 7ish where I move him into a dark bedroom, change his nappy, put him in his sleep sack and fedd him before putting him in his moses basket for around 8pm which is then ready for toddler ready.

this is amazing! Do you take him up to bed asleep? We have been doing similar but he’s still waking after about 4 hours! He feeds the same roughly 5oz 3/4 hourly. When are you thinking about going up to 6oz? We were bathing him at about 7ish then coming back downstairs but I might try your method!! Xx

this is fab. My little one wakes every 3-4 hours but he literally screams for his feed, hoping if I start a bit more of a routine he might sleep for longer stretches! Xx
