Bed Time

I had such a good bed time routine with my 3 year old and I would be able to get him to sleep within 30 minutes of starting our routine. We would read some books in his chair, then some in his bed and then I would rub his back for a few mins and sing a song and leave. My husband has been putting him to bed lately because our son has been asking for him and it is now taking up to 2 hours to get him to sleep. Whenever I put him to bed and try our old routine, he hits me and just cries for his dad. Basically, his dad will just read more and more books instead of saying it’s time for bed and then he will fall asleep in my son’s bed for a little. I hate seeing my son get so upset before bed, but I am trying to get him back on his routine. Any tips???

3 year olds are all about pushing boundaries. I would suggest having your husband and you come up with a 20-30 minute bedtime routine that you both follow in the same order, same time every night. Kids need consistency. I am a pediatric sleep consultant. Feel free to reach out if you have other questions 😊

Help! First time mum -

I have a 4 month old and now all of a sudden when he’s been asleep for 1hr30/2hrs he will wake up screaming (high pitched) I’ve tried winding him sometimes that helps, I’ve tried bicycle legs & bringing his knees up but that doesn’t seem to help but he brings his knees up himself sometimes but nothing happens. I’ve noticed since the 4 month mark he has started to struggle passing wind downwards! Any tips?

Bath Time

Help! My baby is 3 and a half weeks old. Every bath she goes in quite happy but will only stay like this for a very few mins, if I try to clean her or move her we have tears and after a few mins the same. It's like she is scared. Our current baby bath is quite big should I try a different one? Looking for any suggestions as want her to enjoy bath time not be upset and I'm scared I'm going to make her hate it😢💗

Big nursing bras!

I’m looking for recommendations for good nursing bras for bigger breasted ladies!

I’m currently in a 38H which seems to be the biggest size done at M&S (UK based mama here) and it’s snug and not as supportive as I’d like. When I look online, they mainly seem to be sized S, M, L, XL etc rather than bra sizes.

Any recommendations please?

Crying during feeding

Hey mams! My girl is 6 weeks on Monday and is having so much trouble with feeding. It doesn’t happen every feed but more often than not she will start a bottle and just start crying as if she’s in pain and she can’t take the milk. I think it’s trapped wind but I genuinely don’t know what to do it’s so pitiful to see her not be able to feed! She’s formula fed and on HiPP Organic.
Anyone else been in this position? I’m pretty sure it’s just a bit of trapped wind that she needs to fart out but can’t! If anyone has any advice I’d be very grateful as I think I may need to tape my eyelids open soon 😂
