*UPDATE* : she slept at 5pm for 45 mins, then went to bed at 8:30 and slept through the entire night 🥲 I needed that.
Hey everyone. I am in the throes of what seems to be a baby with a personal vendetta against any sleeptimes. For about 2-3 weeks now if she sense she’s being put down to sleep(ESPECIALLY her day nap), she kicks, claws, screams, cries, and twists uncontrollably. I get so frustrated and overstimulated with this, but I try and utilize my noise cancelling headphones(doesn’t help, nothing can block these screeches). She eventually falls asleep but goodness.. should it be taking 45+ mins to get them down ? I go in, soothe(doesn’t help but just to let her know mama will never ignore her), then leave. And repeat… I’m so exhausted and drained.

Following, cause same girl. I don’t have any advice but I’m in it with you, you’re definitely not alone. Infant sleep is so hard 💔

I can certainly sympathize and feel your frustration... My LO hasn't done exactly those things, but she has been resisting naps, which usually means it's time for a change. What is her current schedule? How long does she sleep for at a time?
I'm having to change up our schedule to a longer wake window so that she is actually tired. At 11 months, we are preparing to move to 1 nap, so her first nap is only 10 min to bridge the gap until her afternoon nap. That seems to work well for me, although there are many different sleep people that will tell you different things about the "correct" schedule.

Right now, my Bella is doing the same thing, she just started winding down, I asked chat GPT (which I do for everything) and it says it’s a developmental leap and nap time schedule change that their internal clock is making. It’s so weird but every baby is different. Hoping you get rest soon mama!

Hahaha yes! You’d think I was dangling her over an open flame…

Is this a thing for this age? My daughter is just anti sleep

I’d seen it on Instagram and waited to try it until I felt like it was safe for my daughter to sleep longer. Finally last night I gave it a shot… butter 👀 I just let her suck some globs of grass fed butter at dinner and transferring her off my and to bed was so much easier and she only woke twice (once for a quick soothing boob and once for an actual feed toward the morning). Could be a total fluke but def gonna try again tonight and see what happens.
