Moved baby to own room

I was so worried about moving our baby to her own room but we tried last night and it has been a success! She took half an hour to sleep with my hand on her chest as she was blowing raspberries and trying to play with her dummy then she drifted off and slept until 6.10 this morning and woke up happy babbling away.
She has been a contact napper and wakes up after 30 minutes and I tried her for her first nap in the cot and she slept 45 minutes!

omg this gives me hope 🥲 we currently are in a 1 bed flat but are moving next week so she will have her own room. at the minute she wakes every 3/4 hours sometimes every 20 minutes some nights. how did you LO sleep before bejng in her own room? x

she would stir a lot in the night especially the second half of the night. I think mainly because she could hear us turning in bed and my partner getting up early for work. Hopefully it makes a difference in the number of wakes for you 🤞

oh wow sounds very similar! praying for a similar outcome 🥲🤞🤞

This is amazing! 🤩 we are getting our girls bedroom ready tomorrow for her to move into, she’s 6 months old tomorrow. She’s always been a good night time sleeper and she’s been sleeping through for the past 3 weeks or so; I’m hoping the transition will be smooth for us!

She’s also a contact napper… I tried quite a while ago to get her to nap in her next to me but she wasn’t having it at all so I gave up because it was stressing me out!

How did you get your little one to nap in the cot? ☺️

I was the same with contact napping. Had tried a few times but she wasn’t settling by herself so contact napping was easier for us both.

I just did the same routine as I did at night time. Put her in her sleeping bag, white noise on, curtains closed and put my hand on her chest and she fell asleep in 10 minutes. I was shocked. She had her afternoon nap in there too and that lasted over an hour so I’m so proud of her!

I think what made it easier was my partner saying just try it and if it doesn’t work or becomes stressful just bring her back into our room or contact nap. It made me much more relaxed about it and she done really well so I didn’t need to stress!

That’s amazing! I’m so happy it worked for you ☺️ I think it does help to take the stress off doesn’t it, that’s something I’m learning as a first time mum!
We definitely stress about things too much and gen there’s no harm in trying and if it doesn’t work then just stop and do something else, I’ll give it a go once we’ve moved her and see how we get on!

Help! First time mum -

I have a 4 month old and now all of a sudden when he’s been asleep for 1hr30/2hrs he will wake up screaming (high pitched) I’ve tried winding him sometimes that helps, I’ve tried bicycle legs & bringing his knees up but that doesn’t seem to help but he brings his knees up himself sometimes but nothing happens. I’ve noticed since the 4 month mark he has started to struggle passing wind downwards! Any tips?

Every bath she goes in quite happy but will only stay like this for a very few mins, if I try to clean her or move her we have tears and after a few mins the same. It's like she is scared. Our current baby bath is quite big should I try a different one? Looking for any suggestions as want her to enjoy bath time not be upset and I'm scared I'm going to make her hate it😢💗

Crying during feeding

Hey mams! My girl is 6 weeks on Monday and is having so much trouble with feeding. It doesn’t happen every feed but more often than not she will start a bottle and just start crying as if she’s in pain and she can’t take the milk. I think it’s trapped wind but I genuinely don’t know what to do it’s so pitiful to see her not be able to feed! She’s formula fed and on HiPP Organic.
Anyone else been in this position? I’m pretty sure it’s just a bit of trapped wind that she needs to fart out but can’t! If anyone has any advice I’d be very grateful as I think I may need to tape my eyelids open soon 😂
