Just curious, I've just up to size 3 nappies and they don't have the indicator anymore. I found that little blue line super helpful...so wondering what could be the logic in taking it away. Do the manufacturer feel my mum senses should tingle with pees by size 3? Or by now we just change nappies on a schedule... my LG isnt against a huge wee in a nice fresh nappy...the blue line taught me that!
Anyone else miss them? 😂

Their bladders are bigger and the nappy gets obviously full now. Just a squish should tell you whether it's wet or not

What said I think by size 3 you’ve changed enough nappies and got enough experience that just a quick crotch jab or nose to bum will tell you if they need changing. Some of the pampers, Aldi and boots I’ve had in a size 3 have them but I find I never look at them anymore x

By that point their bladders are big enough that a nappy will be obviously in need of a change when you look, feel or smell it.

Yeah it is because they're more obvious when wet.
I do miss it though, I don't know why, I liked it as a featured because like you she often does a wee as soon as I put the nappy on her.
Tbh. I've just bought rascals or pampers now in 3. I was on Fred and Flo but we got to size 3 and as soon as she does the slightest bit of wee they REEK and they were leaking loads.
Rascals also still have the line at size 3.

My size 3 pampers still have it on

guys u have to remember not all babies are the same, her baby could have been a big baby at birth and got bigger quickly. just saying. cos mine was in size 1 by 2 week the size 2 from week 4 luckily he is still in size 2 (only just tho)

Pampers premium have the line through all the sizes!

I had a "big baby", always sized out of nappies sooner than the weight indicated on the packet. Still managed to tell a wet nappy with a squidge test at size 3

i was refering to the....changed enough nappies to tell by now. but dont get me wrong i get what everyone ia saying, i just thought id mention that cos some new mums might have started in a size 2. and didnt want mums to feel bad if they are yet able to tell.

I never understood the wetness indicators as it’s fairly easy to tell when a nappy is wet - the Kit & Kin ones we use don’t have them regardless of size.

Thank you for calling out the "changed enough nappies to tell by now" statement because it DOES seem like a lot of judgemental moms commenting which defeats the purpose of the group being FOR first time moms.
I also had a bigger baby at birth & then she went through slow weight gain for months before the issue was resolved. Nobody at the hospital taught me how to tell when to size up with diapers & the nurses caused diaper rash putting her in size 1 diapers when she should have been in size 2 diapers from the beginning.
My baby daddy is the ONLY person that could tell when she needs to size up & he works a blue-collar job... So "I" have had to figure things out myself when he's not around & those blue line indicators ARE helpful when you have a baby that gets hysterical with a drop of pee in her diaper. That's why I prep for 4 diapers between feedings to prevent diaper rash and don't listen to everyone recommending different diaper brands that they were used to decades ago because it's not helpful.

I found only the no name brands have no line and I assumed it was to keep them cheaper. Never thought twice about it.
