Dummy help

Has anyone successfully got rid of the dummy at this age?

My boys 4 months in a couple of days and I think we’ve just hit the sleep regression too. I’ve been awake since 2 because he’s been constantly looking for his dummy however, rips it out and tries to suck his fingers soon as I put it back in then ends up unsettled because it’s not his dummy 🙃 it is constantly too, like literally I move back and have to then go put it back in his mouth. He was up for a bottle for the first time since he was 8 weeks old. I have my two kids myself full time and I’m exhausted. I have been lucky that he sleeps through but I haven’t been. Usually he would give me until 4 before stirring but it’s getting earlier and earlier now so just not getting any sleep 🙃 I’m wondering if I just get rid of the dummy it’ll be better in the long run.

You could try but tbh it would probably make the sleep regression period much tougher as you’re taking away his comfort and as you said he’s constantly looking for it atm. I would say power through the next couple of weeks and wean him off it then when he’s passed this regression but he may also end up using his thumb as comfort which is harder to take away in the long run. I’d suggest asking your HV for advice x

We were in the exact same boat and he does still have one but doesn’t really love it as much

We don’t respond to him for like 4-5 mins in the night if he’s stirring. If he’s properly crying then of course we will.

We try to put him down without it, we were told (whether it’s true or not) that once they have the dummy it resets a sleep cycle so you’re only likely to get 40 mins tops which is why you’re always replacing it

If he does fall asleep with it in as he wouldn’t settle, we try and take it out after 10 mins of sleep

We hardly offer during the day anymore unless I’m in public and desperate 😂

Like I said, he still has one and we still do have to pop it in at night but I think I did a post a few weeks back on this page asking for help cause it was every 10 mins at night and we are nowhere near that anymore

Also wild but I asked ChatGPT to write me a plan to remove dummy entirely over 4 weeks so we are going to start that this weekend 😂

Lastly, sorry for the long message.
I have heard that 3-4 months is the best time to go cold turkey and remove it entirely but I literally couldn’t face anymore sleepless nights 🫠

My little one is 14 weeks and we got rid of the dummy about 3 weeks ago now. He was waking every 30 minutes to get it overnight and I’d had enough, it was tough for a few nights but now he find comfort in his hands and is sleeping much better overnight too 😊

Nit sure if it helps bit my little one loves a soft blanket and a soft teddy with a blanket on it. So in the night I notice when his dummy falls out and he wakes up hr sucks the blanket or rubs his face with it and sucks his hands and falls back to sleep. He just loves soft thing

Car seat crying

My 6 month old PANICS the second I put him in a car seat and screams, cries, chokes and recently even projectile vomited on a 14 minute drive. It’s gotten to the point I don’t even bring him out unless it’s to a doctors appointment. I’m a stay at home mom with no family in my state and it has been very isolating. We’ve tried 3 different car seats with no improvement. Has anyone had a baby who hated the car seat? Any advice? This started at 3 months. I will add it does seem worse when he’s tired. He does cry on every trip though. He only contact naps and co sleeps so he reaches for me and will not sleep in the car seat.

Vanilla extract

Has anyone used alcohol free vanilla in their babies formal to help them drink?
I’m 100% sure my baby refuses her bottles as she doesn’t like the taste of it!

Just anxious to try it, don’t want her to get used to it and then refuse bottles again after two weeks of using (correct me if I’m wrong but I’ve read you use it for 2 weeks max)

TIA 🙂

Do men really enjoy fellatio?

Been together more than 10 years, but it's been a while since he even seemed remotely interested in me getting on my knees, or vice versa so to speak. I think it was once last year. Must be something I am doing wrong 🤔. Generally everything else in that department is great and we have two young kids with no extra support, so it's quite surprising we can't keep our hands off each other but may need to try new things. It's basically 2 positions each time with some foreplay.

Sex post C section

Hi ladies I’m 4 weeks 5 days postpartum and I had a C section. I’m not bleeding properly anymore just some brownish discharge stuff that starts on and off. I’d like to do the deed with my partner; is it okay to do so or shall I wait the full 6 weeks. I feel up for it but also worried because the advice is 6-8 weeks.

Can someone pls help i keep making this post and nobody is responding

My boyfriend booked a trip for us to go to mexico for a week as my push present. I have severe anxiety leaving my 7 month old with my mom. I know she will be in good hands but she’s exclusively breast fed for the most part but accepts bottles just fine. i have all my pumping parts packed and will pump when baby normally eats but i don’t want baby to forget me or have latch issues when i return!! any mommas ever experience this?
