Am I in labor?? My Braxton hicks won't go away. Sipping on water slowly. Laying down didn't help, sitting on yoga ball not helping. No distinguishable waves of contractions, i just feel like my stomach is a brick and it hurts to move. I did a lot today, it's like a charlie horse in my upper abdomen.
Stalling calling a doc. it has to be just Braxton hicks right? I'm 34+4
Update: it finally stopped after like an hour and a half. I actually started packing my hospital bag š
so some good came out of it! I never had these with my first baby but I'm doing a lot more this time around. Thanks y'all

That happens to me when I over-do it ā¹ļø

This happens to me a lot right now. Basically after 4pm most days. Itās awful.

ugh it just won't let up!! Nothing is getting worse it's just not getting better either! I feel for you wow

yeah it doesn't feel like labor it feels like I overdid it and my body is making me pay. You go through this often? I feel for you!!!

Mines start up at night smh

The same thing happens to me when I overeat sweet things. For me it happens because of dehydration or if Iāve walked a lot. I lay, drink a lot of water or electrolytes.. takes half a day for it to get resolved

Active contractions feel like someone trying to squeeze air out of volleyball but with your stomach
Youāll definitely know! Good luck!

yeah itās pretty awful. Didnāt experience it with my daughter but itās been going on for a few weeks now and I donāt even feel like I do anything much on the days it happens. Itās mostly at night for me and I just canāt get comfortable and have bad pelvic pressure and nerve pain where my sonās head is pressing on my cervix. I sit for work and have been working from home for the past three weeks because my body thinks everything is āoverdoingā it in this last two months. Iām ready to not be pregnant anymore haha

I'm sorry that sounds rough!!! have electrolytes helped at all?

this is my second baby š but I never had Braxton hicks like this with my first

oh! So sorry!
I had Braxton hicks at 38 weeks maybe? š¤
It was the strangest feeling! Only had one episode of it though
Then my prodromal labor started at 40 + 2 the day of my 40 wk OB appointment and that was a fun experience

yeah I think I'm overdoing it with my toddler. I thought I had Braxton hicks first time around but this is a whole new beast š
. It was super intense! I was induced for my first so I never had early labor naturally and am somewhat in the dark although this is my second pregnancy, first time going for natural labor. The pitocin contractions were just pure pain, but this was my whole body seizing up, it felt like what you said! A volleyball! It's been happening more and more. I hope I'm not building to preterm labor, baby needs to cook some more.
Thanks for your assurances and God bless you and your growing family ā¤ļø

volleyball squeezes are what I felt right before my water broke. I wish you all the best! The second babies have the rep for coming earlier than the first but not always the case! Either way I wish you a beautiful, happy and healthy birth and baby!
My oven is done. No more cooking for me lol

sadly no. I have tried everything. Although I will say Magnesium or the āsleepy girl mocktailā at night does seem to help calm me and baby so that helps me get some sleep.

ugh that's awful! Well at least you're getting in your reps. May be a fast labor for you with all that prep your body is doing for you! God bless you and keep you š
