Childminder

Some are booked up way in advance. Depends on the demand in the area I suppose. I had mine booked with the childminder when my first was about 6 weeks old. I just hadn’t sorted days and hours at that point.
I’d get looking to be sure you find the one that is right for you and your LO.
Contracts are different depending on the childminder. Mind for example I have to give a months notice to leave but nothing is locked in. You can take your kids out whenever you may have just already paid the bill up front.

I got mine sorted when baby girl was a couple of months old and she starts when she's 11 months

yes I meant what notice period you need to give, eg a month or 3 months or longer

Notice period tends to be 4 or 8 weeks as standard but some childminders want the full term worth of funding if you’re on funding, or it’s tricky to pay it back to the LA
