Not sure if anyone else is going through this, but I’m feeling so down about it!
My baby just cries and cries and cries with me all day unless she’s either attached to my boob, asleep, or we’re out in the pram.
If I try to make her smile she cries, if I sing to her she cries, talk to her she cries, look at her, she cries! As soon as her daddy is home she’s beaming smiles for him and just the happiest baby ever.
It’s so lovely to see but really feels like I’m failing. If I try to join in with him when she’s smiling and happy she will just get upset again.
Also, she’s not only like this with her dad - it’s pretty much everyone apart from me.
Please tell me it gets better and that she will one day smile for me 😭 I just feel like such a failure and it hurts so much. I know she doesn’t dislike me or hate me but my hormones are telling me she does!

You are not a failure at all the fact your worrying means your an amazing mummy , I had this with my little girl when she was breast fed it’s because she can smell your milk when she’s close to you & your her safe space and comfort so she wants to be attached its so hard but it does get better🤍

I’ve read somewhere that they express more of their emotion with their mother as they feel safe to do so!!
