I'm sorry I don't know why I'm posting on here. I guess I just wanted to know if it's normal feelings or not.
I struggled a lot during trying to concieve/pregnancy with my mental health (had CBT/counselling as didn't want to risk medication)
My LO is 6 weeks and I adore her so much but everything else just overwhelmes me. I had an emergency C section and have struggled with the not driving and isolation. "Friends" have barely been in contact with me. I don't know how much is all in my head.
I manage to get up, sort out my daughter but she's my priority over anything else. I can put on a "happy" face and that's just easier to do but then it gets to night-time and the quietness let's my thoughts go wild and I am just an emotional wreck.
I have my 6 week check at the doctors coming up, I want to say something to them but if I'm having a "good" day I know I won't even though right now the "good" days are less.
My daughter is my world and I love her so much. Her smiles and the way her face lights up just makes me forget everything.
I'm sorry for just rambling.

I’m sorry you’re feeling this way. Have you got a partner you can talk to and that supports you?
I had an emergency c section and it made me feel like I’d missed all the special moments like seeing her be born, holding her for the first time, feeding her colostrum I didn’t get to do any of it. I couldn’t stop crying for weeks but everyday got a little bit better. If it wasn’t for my partner I don’t know how I would have got through it.
You should definitley talk to someone. Sending lots of love. You can always message me if you need a friend to talk to 😊

You should definitely speak to the doctor at your appointment. We are all often guilty of not speaking up if we are feeling okay in that moment so I’d advise in advance writing down how you are feeling when at your lowest, then you can refer to that during the appointment. With your friends they might be wanting to give you space and people get so caught in their own lives, why don’t you reach out to them and say you’d love visitors or to meet up. Also look up any local mum groups and /or baby classes - through this you might meet even just one other mum who you can talk to and they will be someone you can message in the night you as they will no doubt also be up! Sending lots of love, the nights can be hard and lonely but you’ve got this xx

It’s very normal to feel like this I do to! I would go to your GP and tell your friends how you are feeling x
I had a chat with mine and they making more effort now x
Self care as a mummy is super super important you cannot pour from an empty cup! Xxx 🩷
