Has any of you experienced this with your little one? Since the first week, we have feeding issues. He doesn't want the breast or the bottle ever. Constantly gassy or has reflux, and we have all the symptoms of a tongue tie, but GP and midwife can't seem to see any tongue tie. I'm off of all food allergens in my diet too including gluten, cows milk, soya, eggs and rarely have any nuts or fish as I'm breast feeding to exclude the possibility that some kind of food allergy would trigger the problem. He's so cold and tired, and every feed is a nightmare to get him to latch on. Eventually when he latches on he falls asleep within 1 minute . We been to feeding clinic multiple times to see the specialist, and she can't seem to see any problem. I can't understand why he doesn't want to eat when his ear, troat chest also clear.
Any advice?

I’d explore a cranial osteopath for babies

As a midwife myself I will say generally GPs, midwives and health visitors are rubbish at identifying tongue tie! If you are in a position to do so I’d highly recommend getting into see a private tongue tie practitioner that is also an IBCLC. We had our one twins tie snipped and she assessed the other at the same time (wasn’t significant enough to need doing) and offered so much aftercare and support!

@Ceri-Ann thanks I booked the earliest appointment which is the 18th of June at my nearest tongue tie specialist for an assessment.

My daughter was the same and they didn't identify her tongue and lip tie until she was a few months old. That was including constant checks in neonatal, health visitor, 3 doctors and a midwife checking for it n then the g.p checked and identified it and referred for an emergency appointment which she had n had it corrected a week after and they said it was quite a bad one
