I keep seeing stuff about sleep training, has anyone successful sleep trained their breastfed baby and how is it going/what did it involve?
It seems the only way to break the hourly cycles is to do this!
Do I transition to formula in hope of better sleep?

My baby is EBF and has been doing 6-8 hr stretches since around 2 months. You shouldnt need formula to sleep train. I just helped a couple of other people get their longest sleeps yet (also breastfed). Feel free to DM if youd like some tips or anything. I just dont post in comments cause every baby is different.

We’ve been formula feeding from the start and are currently on hourly wake ups, just to add that it’s probably not the answer! X

really?
I sleep trained my baby, so she goes to sleep no problem. 6 months old.
But she wakes at least 2 times a night, most nights 3, but sometimes 5-6 times. She feeds every time.
How do I fix that?
I can deal with up to 3 wakes, one is before I even go to bed, but more is rough.
ohhh wow that is amazing x
how do u settle your baby back I.e bottle, dummy x

We're EBF, feeding to sleep, cosleeping all of the "wrong" things and we're through the hourly wake ups. He's currently back to 3-5 hour stretches, which we get 2 of that total at least 8 hours. We can either put him down in the next to me or cosleep, he sleeps the same both ways. You don't need to move to formula or sleep train 😊 just keep responding to your baby, keep them feeling secure, letting them sleep when tired and wake up naturally 😊

We're also formula still have one night feed and his naps don't often follow a feed. We're sleep training mainly to ensure we don't hit the overtired refusing to nap state so the formula doesn't have much to do with that other than him not trying to go to sleep on an empty tummy as that just keeps him up

Dummy and usually giving into co-sleeping part way through the night; he’ll have a bottle about 5am but before that he’s ‘asleep’ (just only when he’s on / directly next to me) x
