Which Panadol to give?

My boy is 13 months and I give him the 1-5 years 24mg/ml. The 100mg is a higher concentrate so the ml dosage is smaller than the 24. If your baby doesn’t take well to taking medicine then go for the 100, as the 24 is quite a lot

Hi, Pharmacist here 🙋🏼‍♀️They can have either. You just have to base it off their weight. Pros of having the 100mg/ml is that they will have an lower amount to ingest because it’s more concentrated so it may be easier to dose your child, con is that you’ll go through it quicker because there are only 20mls in it. You should be dosing 15mg/kg. So 15mg x (body weight in kg) / 100mg = the amount of mls for the 100mg/ml. Hope this helps x
