My 10 month old son has developed a habit of biting over the past few weeks. We've tried to curb this with a firm "no, that hurts" and moving him away, but he smiles every time. He bit my eldest son on the nose earlier, hard enough to leave bite marks and make him cry. He's also done it quite a lot to me while nursing him.
He's not currently teething so I don't think it's that, it seems to be sensory seeking. He also doesn't seem to get much from using a teething toy that he can safely bite down on which leads me to think he's doing it for a reaction.
I'm at a loss of how to deal with this so if anyone has any advice/experience with this, please help a girl out!!
