I’m 26 weeks pregnant, with an anterior placenta. I have been into the day assessment unit 4 times due to not feeling baby move AT ALL over the past 2 weeks. I want to know if anyone else was this late on feeling movement? I had a scan at 24 weeks and everything looked great and doctor had no concerns and heartbeat is perfect every time I’ve gone in! I’ve rang my midwife who is going to ring me back hopefully to come up with a plan.

I went in with reduced movement last week and the midwifes told me some people dont feel any movement at 26 weeks so if it isnt out of the norm for you im sure it should be fine! But speak to your midwife or maternity triage if you are worried!xx
No totally not out of the norm for me, I just feel like a pest constantly going in for reduced movements when it’s technically no movement ever 🤣 hopefully baby will start to show themselves soon as everything looks good on scans and heartbeat checks xx

At 28 weeks maternity triage will be able to put a monitor on you to measure it. Sometimes the movements are too small to feel aswell but they’re still moving which the monitor will pick up😊 i also felt like a pain but never feel bad, better safe than sorry x

I would recommend calling your triage unit at the hospital they should be able to get you in same day - I had gone on Monday as i have anterior placenta and felt reduce movement. When I went it was crazy how much movement I had that I could not feel x

My first pregnancy I had an anterior placenta and didn’t feel obviously regularly movements till around 28 weeks and even then the movements where pretty muffled all the way through. Baby was completely fine and now a very healthy active 2 1/2 year old! This time round my placenta is at the back and the movements have been so obviously from as early as 16 weeks so try not to worry just shows how different every pregnancy can be!

I’ve been the same, and went to triage last Wednesday for reduced movements. He was actually very active and I just couldn’t feel alot. On Monday I had a private 4D scan and she told me exactly where my placenta was sitting so what areas to focus on feeling baby. She also told me how to conclude what “reduced” was for me, as I definitely don’t have a regular pattern of movement. So she told me at specific times every day, sit down and fully focus on it. Lay on my left side or eat something that will get him going and then if nothing, I can consider that as reduced! Currently 28 weeks and slowly starting to feel him stronger

I have an anterior as well and I’m 26 weeks now, I didn’t feel anything until 24 + 3, now I feel him everyday, some are really strong and others just little kicks but now im used to them I know what to look out for!xx

I’m 28 weeks now and I’ve been told I had an anterior placenta and then at my last scan they told me baby was hugging my placenta and my bump is quite high which they said was my placenta which makes sense but I had a melt down lastnight because it had been hours since I felt anything from the baby which isn’t normal for me but then I just relaxed and managed to get a little kick! I find laying down and relaxing helps massively, at the start my midwife told me to take half an hour to an hour out of each day and meditate and it proper helped with movements and anxiety over it! Please try not to worry I know easier said than done but remember maternity triage will help at anytime so just ring them / go straight there 🥰 hope u feel some kicks soon xx
I rang my midwife and I now go in for daily monitoring until baby decides to move but all is ok when I’m on monitor! Think he’s just lazy 🤣🤣
