Hello, my 7 month old usually has yoghurt and fruit for breakfast but looking to mix it up a bit with porridge etc.
Reading other breakfast posts, a lot of mum’s give their baby weetabix.
I have apricot wheats, which is like mini weetabix with apricot inside and was wondering if this would be suitable for baby if softened with warm milk?
It says 0.02g of salt /100g on the packet

I’m sure it would - I guess it’s the sugar content of the pre-made cereal that you need to look out for. Dried fruits tend to have a lot.

Ohhh thank you! Yes I was so set on no salt I didn’t even look at sugar 🤦♀️

You have to watch for sugars when they're dried fruit x

Just checked and it’s 16g sugar/100 g!!!
So I might just stick to plain weetabix. Thanks everybody

madness isn't it. Their all the same, blueberry ones etc too
We used baby porridge and weetsbix and just blended my own fruit. Mushed up a banana and strawberries / raspberries etc

We use Readybrek, Weetabix, yoghurt or she'll have toast with butter or nut butter!

Everything in moderation… I let my kids try anything and everything I just wouldn’t give them apricot wheats everyday

Hiii! We vary breakfasts and here’s what we do - Weetabix with fruit, porridge with fruit, scrambled eggs with milled seeds, sourdough bread with creamed cheese, peanut butter, avocado or banana, sourdough crumpets, banana & blueberry pancakes ☺️
