Active sleeping / farmyard hours or witching hour !

Very confused as to what is going on with my baby boy just over 9 weeks old !
Goes to bed between 9pm - 10.30 depending when feed is & when we go up (but usually already asleep or happy awake goes in crib fine and can dose off himself)
Red night light and white noise machine, curtains closed ect in our bedroom.
Usually drinks 120 formula fed,
Generally wakes every 3 hours for feed still 🙈
Anyway last two nights between half 3 - 4.45 he stirs incing and wincing around crib not awake screaming but doesnt seem fully asleep iv changed his bum, and last night tried to feed again thinking maybe still hungry although only fed 2 hours prior ! He drank 85 so not full 120 so hes not exactly hungry.
He sometimes likes sleeping on my closed together shaped v pillow on bed so placed him on this as he usually sleeps well on this but he continued to ince and wince, I thought maybe hes in pain with pooing ! Or trapped wind id given him infacol before 85ml feed, but still thrashing about eyes semi closed. Tried calpol incase in pain, he eventually fell asleep and woke for his next feed for half 9 bum change 9.20 (wet)

Last three days he has only 💩 once a day between 10am - 11.30am
Im cautious as he has a groin hernia waiting to be operated on.

Iv read about witching hour, farmyard hour and active sleeping !
What could it be ??? Either way im not getting much sleep during this period.

only from my experience but honestly, i feel like this is quite normal for 9 weeks! my boy is 8.5 months and still wakes probs every 2 hours for a feed.

defo could be some active sleeping too though! the active sleeping is crazy in the first couple of months 🤣

My LB same age is going through this aswell the last 3 nights he’s been awake since 3am!!!

Definitely not the witching hour...thats like hours of them screaming bloody murder in your face while you try absolutely every trick in the book to calm them down.

Sounds like hes just sleeping! Theyre super noisy and annoying when they sleep. I had to move mine into her own room on day 5 because I could not sleep next to her.

Mine also ate every 3 hours from the beginning of her last feed to the minute until her 4 month regression.

Sounds like active sleep my LO would move around open her eyes and make so much noise. It all settled down after she was through the 4 month regression x

It sounds really normal for that age. They’re wriggly things! And the thrashing can just be a form of self settling

If it was a witching hour you’d know about it because he’d be wide awake screaming the place down with no consoling him 🙃

Thank you for your responses so think majority of you think active sleeping !
I was 95% sure it wasn't witching as thats usually between 6pm - 11pm
This is 4am !
Tonight hes just had a feed, Gave 150 this time and little warmer hoping he may sleep little longer, he also hadn't really slept that much today so we shall see what early hours bring 😆
But whatever it is let's hope he gets out of it soon xx

Help! First time mum -

I have a 4 month old and now all of a sudden when he’s been asleep for 1hr30/2hrs he will wake up screaming (high pitched) I’ve tried winding him sometimes that helps, I’ve tried bicycle legs & bringing his knees up but that doesn’t seem to help but he brings his knees up himself sometimes but nothing happens. I’ve noticed since the 4 month mark he has started to struggle passing wind downwards! Any tips?

Breastfeeding

Does it ever feel better? The actual feeding part of it is going really well and baby boy is growing so well. I’m struggling with how my boobs feel day to day - it’s really getting me down most days. The let downs make me feel awful and sounds silly but, I am also really missing not wearing a bra! 9 weeks postpartum and still getting fairly engorged, even with comfort pumping.

Any advice or just shared stories would help. I’m so torn between carrying on because I enjoy the feeding side of it or switching to formula.

Bath Time

Help! My baby is 3 and a half weeks old. Every bath she goes in quite happy but will only stay like this for a very few mins, if I try to clean her or move her we have tears and after a few mins the same. It's like she is scared. Our current baby bath is quite big should I try a different one? Looking for any suggestions as want her to enjoy bath time not be upset and I'm scared I'm going to make her hate it😢💗

Big nursing bras!

I’m looking for recommendations for good nursing bras for bigger breasted ladies!

I’m currently in a 38H which seems to be the biggest size done at M&S (UK based mama here) and it’s snug and not as supportive as I’d like. When I look online, they mainly seem to be sized S, M, L, XL etc rather than bra sizes.

Any recommendations please?

Strange question

Hello. I would identify myself as asexual but yes i am married and i have a child. But now that ive had my baby. I think its solidified that im done having sex. I feel bad as my partner keeps asking me but i just dont want to. Any advice on what i can do? Any other asexual moms out there? I guess this could be confusing but im not huge on being bound by a label. I have just always felt it represented me best since highschool.
