7 month old not crawling

I feel like im the only one whose baby is not crawling or even wanting to bear any weight on arms/legs. If I put him in a standing pushing he will stand but then bend knees literally right away. He loves to sit! He has been sitting since 6 months old unassisted but literally no signs of crawling or standing. He has always hated tummy time and since unassisted sitting now he barely will do it. Is this normal? Do I wait till 9 month old checkup or make an appointment? I just feel like everyone else’s baby in this chat is not so much still a “baby” like mine and doing so much more.

My daughter is going through the same thing

I’m not rushing her but I am pushing her out of her comfort zones to work toward goals

Every baby is different don’t compare to others. My first didn’t crawl til 10 months, my niece didn’t crawl til 11 months and my other niece I had to bribe her with snacks/ toys and she crawled at almost 12 months. And now my second started crawling at 7 months. You can always help and encourage them to hit those mile stones but they are gonna hit them when they are ready. If it’s past a year then I’d worry but not til then.

My 7 month old is the same exact way. He sits up by himself and loves it. He only likes tummy time for so long before he gets frustrated and gives up, still throws his arms behind him and wonders why he can’t move🤣 when i stand him up he bends his knees but we are slowly making progress. people always say every baby is different and it takes a lot out of us mothers to just let it be and wait. I have learned 7 months is still pretty early for crawling but i see babies too that already do so. A lot of babies take their time to understand how their body works. I got hope my baby will just get it one day soon and I try not to stress it🤣 repetition is all we can do. Hang in there mama, ur not alone🤍

My girls 8 months and only just showing signs of wanting to move. This is my second - I’m in NO RUSH to push her into being mobile. It’s frigging exhausting once they are.

My 7 month old BARLEY sits unassisted. Not crawling or even trying, just lifts her head for a few moments to observe a bit and gets fussy.

My first born was sitting at 5 months, and already bearing weight on his arms by 7 months. And I’ve done the same things with both babies. Babies just get it when they get it! I wouldn’t worry too much just yet! You are doing a good job mama, take a deep breather and give yourselves grace 🥰

My 7 month old isn’t crawling yet either. Don’t stress! It will come in time.

My son JUST started crawling. He’s 8 months

Crawling is considered a 9 month milestone and even then there’s no worry if he isn’t doing it by then. Most of the time it’s not the baby ‘can’t’ do something it’s just that he doesn’t have the interest in doing yet. so he just doesn’t. No need to stress he will crawl when he wants to! If you really want to try and get him to do something other than sitting you can try getting him to play in a kneeling position but it’s not necessary.

My daughter is seven months she doesn’t crawl yet

My first was butt shuffling by 10 months and didn’t crawl correctly until after she learned how to walk lol. My second is almost 8 months and she doesn’t army crawl yet but she can push herself backwards twice before she gives up completely

My first baby didn’t “crawl” until 10 months but he would scoot around on his butt and pull up on things. He “real” crawled for 2 weeks and then was walking. But he was always also a 98th percentile baby. So part of that was probably because he was just so big. But I wouldn’t worry too much. I would maybe just bring it up at his next appointment. Our second is 7 months and just rolls everywhere. He’s starting to get on his knees some, but honestly I think it depends on the temperament of each child.

My 7 month old isn't crawling yet. He does go on all 4s from time to time. And in tummy time he can spin around if i change my position. I realized he'll do things if and when motivated. I'm just trusting the process

We’re 8 months next week and not crawling! She’s trying but it’s just not clicking yet

Leaky nappy help

What nappies are you using to stop leaks?? We use pampers ultra dry size 5, and for the past few nights he has lashed through and we’ve had to completely change him during the night. Last night he leashed through twice!! He sleeps on his front and stays leaks through at the top of his leg where the tabs connect. Didn’t know whether to size up, he has a bit of a belly on him but he’s smack in middle of weight guidance so shouldn’t need too

When do things get easier?

As we entered the 9-12 month stage, my son started crawling and pulling himself up. He also became more clingy and does not play alone, still doesnt sleep through the night, and this week has been sick (so EVERYTHING amplified). I am tired and overwhelmed. Please lie and tell me things get better. 🥺

4 month bed time

What time do you put your babies to bed?
What time do you start your 'routine?'
My LO currently goes to bed around 10.30pm, and I know i need to start bringing it forward. Everytime ive tried, it takes longer for my LO to settle.
We are exclusively breastfeeding. Any advice Mamas?

5.30am wakeups 😫😴

My 15 week old has started waking up about 5.30am and is really hard to settle back down - it’s like he thinks it’s time to wake up for the day. He used to go to bed at 9pm and was up at 8am but now he goes to bed between 7.30-8pm as he’s knackered by then but waking up at 5.30am😴. Any advice to get him to sleep a little longer in the morning?! Even an extra hour would be lovely 🤣
