I had to feed mine at night for a short while (to prevent reattachment of tongue-tie) and found my little one stayed asleep during the feed so if you do decide to night feed you may be able to get away with not waking her.

I think the recommendations change depending on where you live. We were told if shes hit her birth weight (I assume your 3 month old has) and is continue to grow appropriately, that you let them sleep overnight. Ideally they stock up on calories during the day. Shell start to need more mls than that as she grows so you might want to eventually add in another bottle.

If she's not waking for a feed overnight she's likely not hungry. My 18 month old has slept through the night since around 10/12 weeks and he sleeps 12 hours. Some babies just need more sleep than others! X

I was always told if baby is above birth weight it's fine to let them sleep so that's what I've always done x
hi! We live in Cardiff and they told us we don't have to wake her up ...if she needs a feed she will start crying but now I will be in Greece for the summer and the doctor confused me that I have to wake her up for a feed. You are absolutely right 🙂different recommendations!
When she was 2 months old we were waking her up around 3 or 4 am and she was staying awake around 2h after the feed ... that's why I am still thinking what to do with the night feed .thanks!

Yeah sounds like the doctor was either confused or didnt explain properly. Once they're passed that newborn phase you let that baby sleep if they want to. You'll hit that 4 month regression soon and be missing it 🤣
Greece will just be really hot during the summer so probably the doctor meant to feed more regularly so baby doesn't dehydrate which can happen really fast! Enjoy your trip!
she is 3 months old and weights 13.7 lbs. I am so scared about the regression 😅 thanks a lot!

Mine only lasted 3 nights! Yours might fly through it no problem as well! Good luck!

I totally get not wanting to wake her especiallyif she doesn'tgo back down easily.
It was also suggested to us at 4 months to do a night feed as he'd gone from the 75th to the 50th centile. I saw another HV a couple of weeks later who said don't worry about it as it's normal to deviate 1 centile while they find their "normal". He's now back up to 75th without having re introduced the night feed (other than after the tongue-tie procedure).
As said above, I think all advice will be different, I'd say as long as you feel she has enough milk and she is having plenty of wet/dirty nappies then don't worry about the extra night feeds.
