My little girl is now on 3 meals a day, breastfed first and last feed with 2-3 4-5oz bottles throughout the day. She has recently really not seemed interested in the final breastfeed of the day, it is fairly close to finishing dinner but wasn’t sure if anyone else has experienced this? I’ve only recently transitioned from EBF so still working out how many bottles etc!

I’m EFF and I have noticed this with my son too! I assumed he was just full as he now STTN

Is there enough time between feeds? My October baby has 3 bottles and three meals and there must be a minimum of two hours between feeds of any kind but 3-4 or even 5 is better! Baby has dinner at 5/5:30 goes to bed at 7ish and will wake up for that last bottle between 8-9. You may have to either make bedtime later (if you can my daughter was going to bed at 8:30 with a bottle at 8 with dinner at the same time at this age) or do a dream feed.

Thank you both! I think the nighttime one probably is too close to dinner.. she has dinner at 6 and is usually having last feed not long after 7 then asleep 7:30 but she actually has quite a long time between lunch and dinner so I could probably bring dinner earlier like you have. I think my post was a bit confusing as she has 2-3 bottles of 4-5 ounces rather than 4-5 bottles. I think I’m generally just worried she’s not drinking enough milk too since transitioning to formula.

my babies were bottle fed from the beginning and have 3 8oz bottles so to me 5 oz is barely anything BUT breastfed babies tend to drink less soo if she recently transitioned it will take time just try for 16oz (the bare minimum) to 24oz (a more general minimum) per 24 hours. I think my daughter averaged 21-24oz at this age my son is always bang on 24oz. But as long as she isn’t dehydrated I wouldn’t worry about it as she is having 3 meals.
