No sleep club

My LB is 8months and will not sleep at night.

His usual routine:
8am - wake-up
11am/12pm - 1st Nap
3/4pm - 2nd Nap
We do dinner, bath & bed and I try to put him to bed anywhere between 7:30-8:30 depending on when he’s had his last nap.

- He never sleeps more than 2.5hours during the day.
- We are also co sleeping.
- he’s breastfed

After I put him down to bed he will sleep between 30mins - 2hours and then be up and wide awake. No matter how hard I try to put him back to sleep he will not go back. So we are up for another 3hours until he is tired again.

I’m exhausted and me and my partner have barely spend anytime with each other recently.

I wouldn’t mind a later bedtime but he gets so whiny and is ready for bed 7:30-8:30. I have tried to introduce a bottle of formula before bed as I know it’s thicker than breastmilk but he will not drink it at all.
He also doesn’t sleep well during the night and will wake up between 2-5times a night.
I have no idea what to do to help his routine so he sleeps and stops this ‘pre-bedtime nap’🥲💔

Is he crawling yet? A huge milestone may be coming or maybe teeth my girl went through this I can’t remember might have been like 6/7 months tho. Seems like a lot of sleep too my girl is down between 730-830 as well but wakes up between 530-6 if I’m lucky 7 but rarely

If I remember correctly, leap 6 happens around 8.5 to 9 months, which could explain whats happening here. I suggest you give mental leaps and sleep regression a quick read so you know what youre dealing with and what to expect after..

he’s been crawling since 6 months but he is currently cutting his 5th tooth. He’s never slept through the night or gone to bed without waking up again. It’s getting exhausting, last night he went to bed at 7:30pm, He woke up at 9pm and I tried to get him back off but he was wide awake. He then didn’t sleep until 12am with lots of fighting. I’m so tired and it’s been like this every night for months

This may feel counterintuitive but I think his wake windows are too long…for 8 months think 2.5-3.5 hours. If they’re not getting enough sleep during the day, they won’t sleep at night either. Once I started following wake windows with my daughter, I started noticing that she would start sleeping longer stretches and nap solidly during the day.
There is also a leap coming up so that may have something to do with it!

Help! First time mum -

I have a 4 month old and now all of a sudden when he’s been asleep for 1hr30/2hrs he will wake up screaming (high pitched) I’ve tried winding him sometimes that helps, I’ve tried bicycle legs & bringing his knees up but that doesn’t seem to help but he brings his knees up himself sometimes but nothing happens. I’ve noticed since the 4 month mark he has started to struggle passing wind downwards! Any tips?

Breastfeeding

Does it ever feel better? The actual feeding part of it is going really well and baby boy is growing so well. I’m struggling with how my boobs feel day to day - it’s really getting me down most days. The let downs make me feel awful and sounds silly but, I am also really missing not wearing a bra! 9 weeks postpartum and still getting fairly engorged, even with comfort pumping.

Any advice or just shared stories would help. I’m so torn between carrying on because I enjoy the feeding side of it or switching to formula.

Bath Time

Help! My baby is 3 and a half weeks old. Every bath she goes in quite happy but will only stay like this for a very few mins, if I try to clean her or move her we have tears and after a few mins the same. It's like she is scared. Our current baby bath is quite big should I try a different one? Looking for any suggestions as want her to enjoy bath time not be upset and I'm scared I'm going to make her hate it😢💗

Big nursing bras!

I’m looking for recommendations for good nursing bras for bigger breasted ladies!

I’m currently in a 38H which seems to be the biggest size done at M&S (UK based mama here) and it’s snug and not as supportive as I’d like. When I look online, they mainly seem to be sized S, M, L, XL etc rather than bra sizes.

Any recommendations please?

Strange question

Hello. I would identify myself as asexual but yes i am married and i have a child. But now that ive had my baby. I think its solidified that im done having sex. I feel bad as my partner keeps asking me but i just dont want to. Any advice on what i can do? Any other asexual moms out there? I guess this could be confusing but im not huge on being bound by a label. I have just always felt it represented me best since highschool.
