I am now researching what is the recommended prep machine to have. Do I opt for a machine to help just do the water or go for a machine with powder too?
Any advice / brands or links would be helpful thank you

I think the nuby prep machine is getting good reviews just now. I used the tommee tippee 1 a few years ago and liked it

We have a baby breeza formula pro and love it but many people don't like it. Do I NEED it? No. It's just a convenience thing. You can make bottles without a machine. Some people have a hot water dispenser and mix the formula with a frother. It's not a life/death if you don't have it'll be the end of the world thing though. You can boil the water or get a portable bottle warmer. My son likes room temp bottles so we just use bottled water when we're out and have a container I put the formula in and mix when he's hungry.

I’ve got the Tommee tippee night and day one. It only does water (hot shot and then cold to cool it down). I didn’t want the powder one as I thought about the clean, thinking the powder gets stuck and builds up etc (never used one so might be completely wrong) 😅
Having that makes the nights so much easier!
Just make sure you check the hot shot temperature with any of them. I do it at least once a week, well trying to. 😂

I prepped by boiling 3 bottles at once right when I gave the last bottle or while baby was napping, and I wasn't tired. I'd leave all 3 on the counter covered a little so no floaties got in it and then washed and boiled on repeat. Then it wasn't too hot or too cold.
Once she was onto solids I stopped boiling and put a jug of cold filtered water on the counter from the 18L jug we buy and left it to warm to room temp so it mixes better when shaking.

If you’re in the UK then no prep machine is recommended as the hot shot isn’t guaranteed to reach 70 degrees to kill the bacteria in formula, we actually tested ours and it was only 53 degrees …. The nuby rapid cool or the hot shot method and cool boiled water replicate a prep machine but at least you know the hot shot is the correct temp.

We have used the tomme tippee prep machine for 2 kids it has been ever so helpful! The only gripe I have had is apparently it won’t work if the water temp gets to high in the tank, it has been 28-32c in our house the last few days and we have gotten an error message saying the tank temp was too high. I’ve seen people complain about it making bottles too hot or too cold but I’ve never had issues with that as inconvenient as it’s been I’m glad it has some sort of sensor that apparently works 😂. As others have said they aren’t recommended and use at your own risk, I’ve never actually personally tested the temp of the hot shot and neither of my kids have gotten sick from them.

We use tommee tippee perfect prep day and night machine. My baby has been bottle fed since birth and no issues

Thank you everyone 🫶🏻
