My 3 month old is starting to show signs of rolling and I know that’s usually the sign to stop swaddling. But every time I try putting him down he just punches himself or throws his hands around until he wakes up. I know he’s probably going through the 3-4 month regression ontop of it all but any tips on the unswaddling transition?

Do one arm at a time. We have a transitional sleep sac and with our son just left one arm open at night and he take it out on his own and the eventually we would put him down with the one arm out. We did the same with the other arm.
My daughter hates being swaddled so we have her in the same sleep sac. She spits up a lot so there are night when we just put her to bed in a sleeper

We just sent it, put her straight into a sleeping bag and the flappy arms only lasted a few nights really, it’s tiring but we just persevered! I think better getting them used to a sleeping bag sooner too
