Temporary Blackout Blinds

I have tried everything - blinds, drapes, etc. the best thing if it's just temporary and you can live with ugly, is just taping black garbage bags to the windows..anything else is going to let in at least some light if it's not right up against the glass

We use this currently and find it completely blacks out the room. I just bought extra Velcro tape to secure it in place

There is blackout window film that will do a great job, it's expensive though.

I bought a blackout sheet and trimmed it to the size of my window and the Velcro it to the window panels & then hung black out curtains over

Our house faces west and we do have blackout blinds but not dark enough for summer time. We opted to get this. These are pretty cool and temporary which is nice that we can take them down and put them back up. It’s cut to fit! It also keeps our room cooler too. We co-share our room currently! Hopefully this helps!

We both work night shift and we have these. They're the best ones I've found that don't have to be applied directly to the window (10+ years night shift....I've tried a lot of options!). They still let in a tiny bit of light around the edges, but it's a huge difference.

I have these too I also bought the side overs so it’s fully blacked out! Love it.

Thank you all for the recommendations. I have tried some Velcro ones but I was not happy with the quality. I guess it depends on the brand. I ll look at different solutions mentioned here! 😊
