I currently have a milk blister on my nipple and was wondering if anyone else has had one and how you cleared it…
My midwife just said rub olive oil and it should go???
But it’s been a week now and it’s still there and I’m ebf..
It’s uncomfortable for the first few seconds of latching so I’d like to clear it sooner than later 🙂

I had one and was told to feed through it and it will get better. 6 weeks later, can't breast feed cos it's exstrutiating and docs swabbed it and it was infected so was given antibiotics. My son then refused to breastfeeding feed because he was tonused to bottles 😮💨😮💨

I had one! I used the silverette cups with a little bit (like 2-3 drops) of my milk in them for a couple days and it went away and it also helped with the sensitivity

how old was you LO when this happened? 😯

I had blisters and had to use nipple shield for several days to clear them. I’ve focused more on getting a good latch since, hasn’t reoccurred (thankfully)

I've been struggling with a painful bleb on one side recently (LO is 6 months old). The GP advised using a hot flannel, and either dipping the boob in hot Epsom salt water or using a hakka with hot Epsom salt water. I've been doing the flannel and hakka several times a day and its definitely a lot better 3 days in. Hope yours clears up soon!

gosh I might try that! I’ve had this nearing 2 weeks now and it’s not budging.. it’s not painful as such maybe first few seconds when he latches but otherwise I’m fine I just don’t want it to get bad and I end up with issues

@Steph definitely worth a try - keep it warm and moist basically, and make sure to wash off the Epsom salts before feeding
