I need a new car, any recommendations with a big boots?

My current car boots is tiny, anyone can recommend a car that's has a big boots, make sure my pram can be fit? I don't really want a massive car, a medium size would be nice ☺️

I had the same issue I’ve now got a ford focus the newer shape and the boot is a lovely size x

My husband has just had a VW T-roc which isn't a big car but has a lovely size boot, our pram fits in no problem with room for other bits too😊

I have a Peugeot 2008 (15 plate) and I love it, I can get my pram in the boot easy, it takes up the full boot space but I can literally fold it up and chuck it in without juggling stuff about! I have a Ickle Bubba Stomp pram for reference incase that helps!

We just brought a Kia sportage, which has a huge boot space! Still struggle getting the pram in the car 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

Renault captur is a good size x

I used to have a kia venga before my third and loved it, fit everything and everyone in lovely x

I have a Santa Fe and it’s amazing. I fit all three car seats in the back, plenty of boot space (which also converts to extra seats if needed) but fits two pram seats, the base and a whole 2wks of groceries. I also have roof racks 🤷🏻‍♀️

I had a ford fiesta and went up to the focus and the boot is now fabulous! Been to centre parcs in it with all the baby bits. Not overly priced in comparison to others too.

Just got the Hyundai Kona and boot space is fab can fit the pushchair in the back and still have room for other items at the side.

We already had a Citroen c4 and boot is big but deep so hard to get the pushchair in over the edge of the boot plus takes up the entire space.

I would recommend the Kia, our pram does hit in the boot but it takes manoeuvring so the base has to go in first and then the bassinet, which I just find a little frustrating. You can then also fit other stuff in the boot as well! I really do enjoy driving ours and the space in the front and back is really good as well! We know we will definitely be able to fit our dog in the boot and pram in the back with baby as well as luggage when we go away so that was the main thing for us!

We have a Kona and it’s great for the boot space, fits the pram comfortably plus other bags. There’s also a little compartment you can put stuff in that’s ‘under’ the boot (usually where spare charging wires are kept if you’re going electric) x

My Kia Sportage fits in a buggy, and my travel system pram for my 10 week old (egg pram) plus a buggy board, 6 coats, 3 bags and bags just general. I can still get in some over night bags in there too 🤣

I have a nissan qashqai and has quiet a big boot

Avatar

yes we asked to try the pushchair in it before we even went any further with the conversation 😅
Ours is an electric one (my husbands choice!) but it has been amazing. We did test non electric to but Such a good drive and feel safe when out with my little boy as you feel higher up but not like you are driving a big tank either.. good luck on your search x

We”ve got a KIA sportage, it’s a small SUV. The pram and our 30kg golden retriever fits perfectly (with a divider). I went from a Aygo to that and it’s really easy to drive ☺️

🤣 We had the ickle bubba stomp when I had that car so that must be on the smaller side as we had space left over 🤣🤣 had to get a mum mobilr when I had my third for the double pram and car seats lol x

Avatar

yes we also have a dog too so needed something with decent space in the back seats.

sorry to jump on this thread - am looking for a new car too! Do you use an isofix for car seat? If so, is there plenty of room in KIA sportage for the passenger or driver seat (which ever they are behind) to come back? I have a small car at the moment and the passenger seat is impossible to use because the space the isofix + car seat needs behind it!

Avatar

I’ve got a sportage, even with the isofix there’s plenty of leg room in the passenger seat well. Can even get a shopping bag in too x

Avatar

I have a 2017 model

Avatar

yes 2 isofix upto age 12 car seats! We have the silver cross spin 360 car seat, both are rear facing and plenty of room for me and my 6ft 3 partner on passenger and drivers side 🥰 like the comment above, I can get a bag of shopping or something between my legs.

Do men really enjoy fellatio?

Been together more than 10 years, but it's been a while since he even seemed remotely interested in me getting on my knees, or vice versa so to speak. I think it was once last year. Must be something I am doing wrong 🤔. Generally everything else in that department is great and we have two young kids with no extra support, so it's quite surprising we can't keep our hands off each other but may need to try new things. It's basically 2 positions each time with some foreplay.

I think Motherhood has made me more bitter than I realized…

This is such a ramble but I don’t know where else to put it all.

I’m four months in and I don’t really have hobbies right now. I don’t do anything for myself except maybe doomscrolling or listening to a podcast while I breastfeed my baby. I used to craft and have game nights with friends. Activities that usually are at least 2 hour stretches. Now if I have an hour free my mind immediately goes to baby, or doing something in the house for baby.

And I thought I didn’t mind. Like I knew postpartum could be very mentally consuming. But I think it’s altering how I view people around me and it’s prodding at my relationship with my husband.

He spends most of his time making food for us, looking after our dogs, playing with the baby, ect. But he still has time for his hobby. Spends maybe an hour a night on it. Even adapted to using a bot for shopping for his hobby after a certain incident where we had to have a heart to heart after he left me home alone with the baby for hours during a busy workday (I work from home) to shop for his hobby.

And yet there’s like this little green eyed monster in me that rages every time I know he’s running off to start up the bot. Even though I’m the reason he does it this way.

We took a family trip last weekend to see his best friend and their kids and let them meet the baby. He brought the laptop. He’s always brought a laptop on trips and it’s never been a problem to me before. But one night we both woke up while the baby was still asleep, and he wandered out of the room. I tried to fall back asleep but couldn’t. So I went to the kitchen to try having something warm to drink to settle me. And he was there at the table running the bot from his laptop. I flipped out at him. But there really wasn’t reason to. It’s not like I needed help with the baby and he was ignoring me. He wasn’t avoiding our friends. He was just awake and unable to sleep and found something to do with his time. Yet my snap reaction was “why the hell would you do this on a family trip?”

I don’t know what it is. Maybe it’s the less complete sleep from baby’s middle of the night feed? My brain being just consumed by baby? Maybe I’m not as over that shopping incident as I thought? But I’m just so annoyed at his hobby right now. The green eyed monster thinks “you could be using that time differently” but realistically to do what exactly??? Stare at our baby in the dark???

I spent probably an hour apologizing to him after I snapped. And he’s of course hurt and frustrated because I said some very mean things in the moment.

I don’t want to be this jealous, angry person. But I also don’t know how to find time for myself in this right now outside of basic hygiene. It’s like I’ve forgotten how to be myself, even if just for an hour.

Maybe I need a therapist.

Vaccination advice

I’m really looking for advice and opinions on vaccines for my baby. I’m not against getting them but also just don’t feel like I know enough about them to make a decision just yet as I’ve had people say to me they don’t agree with them and they can cause issues etc… so I just want as much info as possible. What are everyone’s thoughts and experiences of vaccinating your child? I’m just interested to see everybody’s views (no judgement as I just want to know I’m doing the right thing) thank you x
