My toddler has had diarrhoea for just over two weeks now - around 4 extremely runny stools per day, mostly not long after eating.
He is toilet trained during the day but still wets at night. Yesterday he had an accident where he passed poo in his nappy, and it contained a lot of mucus that was clear and jelly-like.
This evening, he passed another runny poo in which I could see whole pieces of strawberries and blueberries he had eaten at around 9am this morning.
He is generally well in himself but has complained of a “sore tummy” around his belly button area on and off over the same period.
Any ideas? Will get booked in with the GP.

If the poo is mucus/jelly like its often an indication of a milk allergy/intolerance which can happen at any age. I’d get him on a milk alternative such as oat milk or soya milk (if he tolerates soya as children with a milk allergy/intolerance don’t always tolerate it) and also get a doctors appointment in the meantime x

Is it overflow? Could he be constipated?
