I had bad "period" cramps at night a couple weeks ago. It was bad enough I was groaning and had to take pain meds. Also no blood. When I called the nurses about it they said it was fine as long as you don't have shoulder pain or bleeding. Your uterus is getting ready to grow. I don't get cramps anymore

How far along are you? I got bad cramps that would wake me up several times at night from week 4 to almost 6. At that point they were implantation cramps. They would go away when repositioning, when sitting in the toilet or just last only a few minutes. I don’t have them anymore, now I might feel some discomfort but that’s about it, oh and round ligament pain if I move a certain way.

really how many weeks we’re u wen that happen also it happens in the late night hours everyone is usually sleep 4-5am

oh we’re almost the same! I would say I did get something more than mild discomfort this week, don’t know if fully a cramp but it got me alert. All they tell you is if there’s not blood it’s just your uterus growing. Not much to do but wait 🥲

that’s also good to no thanks

Can you tell where the cramping is? I know that sounds like a stupid question but when it’s your first pregnancy and so many things are changing at once sometimes it can be hard to tell where certain sensations are coming from. Do you think these are muscle cramps in your uterus or pelvic floor? Digestive cramps? They could have to do with hip/lower back muscles that are tight. The psoas muscle in particular can get really tight in pregnancy.

I was wondering if it was floating trapped gas in my stomach causing the cramps or either the baby pushing on stuff cause I’m super small

I agree with all those things that it could be especially the bay maybe moving around or jus muscles need to be stretched laying on one side alnight can cause it

Avatar

Could very well be gas. I’m sorry you’re having pains. If it goes away with changing position it’s likely not serious. Has it gotten any better?

thank you yes it went away when I got up walked and came back switched lying positions
