My baby just turned 2 months, and lately she is staying up wayyyyyy longer than usual and I can’t get any sleep because of it . Is this normal and if so what are some remedies that could get her to sleep because baths and warm milk don’t help anymore 😣

My baby just turned two months as well
Sometimes I try to play a Disney song or Disney movie
I also sometimes sing to her maybe you could try that it almost always works every single time

I literally crank the sound machine with the womb sound give her bum taps and shushing at the same rhythm and she goes down for the night. We’ve tried 8pm but it’s too early for her and she thinks is a nap so she usually goes down at 10 and wakes up at 5-6am. Also 3 fingers trying to close her eyes and breathing on her eyes too (warm air). Ik. A whole routine but it works hahah

Yeah mine dose that too

10p -5:30 (MAYBE 5:50) for us. It’s fine though, I just keep him busy during all his waking hrs so when he does go to sleep he’s conked and he only wakes up at night for feedings, maybe 2-3 times and for like 10 min

when is the last nap your baby takes?

usually 7-8 nap, then bath time bottle snuggle time/read book for like 1 hour and then she goes to bed

we do the same thing

My baby just turned two months old. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to breastfeed him directly, but I do pump every day. Every time he eats, I pump too. I’ve been keeping track, and he usually takes about 30 to 32 ounces in a day. Since he eats well during the day, he actually sleeps through the night on his own. He naturally settled into a routine—he goes to sleep around 9 p.m. and stays asleep until about 5 a.m., then goes back to sleep from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. During the day, he’s awake and very active. The nice part is that I get to rest at night, and I didn’t have to train him—he just figured it out on his own.
What I can share is that you could try what I did, but I completely understand that every mom wants that special connection with her baby. In my case, it wasn’t possible, but it turned out not to be all bad—my baby feels full and happy after eating, and he sleeps peacefully. At the end of the day, what really matters is that our little ones are well and loved.

how many oz does he eats and how often?

He sleeps from around 9–10 pm. In the mornings, when he wakes up, we give him between 6–6.5 ounces because he sleeps almost 8 hours. Then he goes back to sleep for another 5 hours, and when he wakes up we give him between 5.5–6 ounces. After that, we feed him every 3 hours with 5 ounces or less if he doesn’t want more. He doesn’t vomit and doesn’t have colic either. We keep him in our arms for 30–40 minutes awake after each feeding, and I keep a notebook where I write down when he eats, how much he sleeps, how many diapers he soils, and how many ounces I’m pumping. It might sound strange, I know, but it has helped us a lot, since in the beginning it was terrible—I didn’t sleep, my baby would latch every two hours and stay on for an hour and a half, so I barely slept, it was awful. I’m not saying this is the method, but the circumstances led us there and it worked for us. I’m sharing it in case one day it helps you too. A big hug.

the music is helping , as we speak ! Lol thank youuuu 💖🥹

yes I do find that if I lay her down too early , she won’t stay asleep .

Ur welcome 😌

yeah maybe I’ll try to keep her more awake during the day

that’s amazing! My baby is still drinking 3oz every 2 hours. I tried with 3.5 to make her eat every 3 hours at least and she is not taking it and if she does drink it she puke :( so I guess she is not ready. 6 oz after he wakes up is amazing!

My baby is two months now and hasn’t been liking her bassinet so she’s been in her bouncer until I get a swing and it helps but she’s still up a lot in my opinion and it does get tiring FAST. I’m still looking for solutions but I wish you luck

My little one is going through the same issue. We had a few nights where he would only stay down for an hour and then wake back up. I had to put him to sleep on my chest and then slowly transfer him to the bassinet. Truthfully, not sure if it worked but yesterday we finally got two 4 hour sleeps in.
