I feel like my life has been a lie ๐Ÿ™„

Im 34, I have 3 children, I was raised with an abusive, addict father and a mum who left when I was a baby. Over the last year ive realised my family, that I thought were (kind of) supportive, are complete narcissists, there have been lots of things that have brought it to light but feel like I've just had a light bulb moment, I have a couple of friends, but mostly live hours away from me, I feel completely alone, I do have a supportive partner, but just feel like I need someone whos actually gonna be on my side for once. I feel ive always craved a motherly bond from someone and never came to experience it unfortunately. Ive recently been diagnosed and nedicated for adhd and awaiting asessment for autism. I think this post will probably come across as jumbled up nonsense as I can feel myself type-rambling ๐Ÿ˜‚ but id love to make some new friends, like people I can actually be friends with, im so socially awkward unless I get that "click" with someone... if you've read this far, well done ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿฉท

I totally understand where you are coming from, I've realised my Mum is a narcissist. Which explains a lot! Now other things are piecing together and it's exhausting!

It's hard to find others in a similar situation who truly understand and seems like our circumstances are similar.

Haha, that's exactly what I ended up doing! Only just over an hour away, but it's honestly the best thing I've ever done! My cortisol levels have reduced significantly and I feel like I can actually enjoy my day to day life now.

Although I do miss being close to some family members, I can easily pop back to see them ๐Ÿ˜†

We relocated from London to Kent (UK), we don't know anyone here, it's a total fresh start, albeit a challenging one with no village and 3 kids.

I could have written half of this myself! My dads a narcissist and I only realised it about a year ago (I started to work it out when I realised his horrible wife was a narcissist too) my mum left my dad over 25 years ago (I blamed her at first but then noticed why she left)
I have ADHD and since noticing my son has Autism Iโ€™ve been seeing the same issues in me so Iโ€™ll be applying for an autism diagnosis soon!

Long ramble but youโ€™re not alone!

Love my husband. Love my kids. Butโ€ฆ

Iโ€™m 32 weeks pregnant with twins. I take care of my 4 yo, 2 yo, and 1 yo. I barely have energy to stand anymore. I cuddle and watch movies with my kids all day at this point. My husband is less pushy in this pregnancy in wanting to be touched or love up on me. But I feel more like a tool these days more than ever. He gets frustrated (not to a crazy degree) but I can tell he huffs because heโ€™s probably sexually frustrated from me not wanting to be touched on. (my boobs are super sensitive atm) I love having the babies part, but the pregnancy also now has me feeling like a baby making machine. And a tool with big boobs made for touches and my husbands pleasure. Ofc I love my husband and kids, but with my hormones all wack, it really doesnโ€™t feel the same when youโ€™re not turned on. Itโ€™s so hard for me to get turned on. Iโ€™m uncomfortable all the time in my own body. Babies moving in there all the time. My children cuddle me all day but get rowdy at the end of the day, so I end up getting touched out and I can get irritable when my husband tries to touch me affectionately. He doesnโ€™t have the tact necessary for me right now, when I wish he wanted to go in for a normal comforting hug Iโ€™m let down more often than not, there is almost always a boob groping involved as well. I tried to just let him touch me last night so he could get it out of his system, but he could tell I felt tense. Wish my boobs werenโ€™t such an uncomfortable place for me to be touched. Idk why Iโ€™m making this post. Probably just to vent. Wish men were equally as emotionally intelligent as women. Wish I didnโ€™t feel like I still owe him something because heโ€™s picking up a lot of the house load and yet I still need to ask him to do more before these twins arrive. Heโ€™s tired every day when he comes home, so he takes a shower sometimes works out, and helps get the kids to bed. So itโ€™s a struggle getting him to help any further than that. Weekends are my only time to get to him. But itโ€™s a struggle to find time on weekends too. I know if he wanted to he would. But thereโ€™s just no drive.

What are we giving our soon-to-be 3yo for their birthdays?

We have the magnetiles, we have the kinetic sand and play doh, we have the play kitchenโ€ฆ

Literally, is there anything left in the world to buy this spoilt kid? ๐Ÿ˜…
