medicaid
when my daughter was born she was immediately placed on medicaid, but because i was under 21 and living with my mother, it was placed under her medicaid. now my daughter is on insurance through my fiancé, and we are moving in a month. my mother told me renewal papers for her medicaid came for my daughter and when i asked for them she acted weird. i told her i didn’t want her on medicaid since she had insurance. my mother had already opened the mail and was acting weird about me getting it, and still hasn’t given it to me. i have a feeling she renewed it because she wants to have some weird control over my daughter. i’m not sure how to look into anything for it since it’s under my mother’s name. i want my daughter completely removed from everything, what are my next steps? thank you guys so much, im sorry if this is a bit much. we live in pa!!

Contact the Medicaid office/government office for Medicaid and see what you can do, if she DID renew it she can get in so much trouble because when you move she has to notify the insurance/government that changes were made. I doubt she would be able to renew it though seeing that your daughter was already covered by a different insurance
I unfortunately I dealt with the same thing in Delaware when I had my son she probably did renew it cause they usually don’t cross check unless it’s made aware of but you can go to the office your mom uses with your child’s birth certificate and ssi card as soon as you move they may allow it while she’s yall are they so I would go the first week you move
