What age did you start potty training?

Started potty training on and off when my son turned 3. But he mastered it at around 3.5

My son is 2y8m and haven't started yet but we do have a potty in the bathroom and he sometimes follows me when I go and asks for his nappy off to sit on it but has never actually used it. I decided not to actually potty train until he can understand and communicate when he needs to go.

My daughter is 21m and I've just brought her some training underwear but she says pee or poo to me when she needs to go she still does pees in her nappy but most of them are in the toilet I would try training underwear or even going no nappy if you have some time at home and if she doesn't get it after a few weeks you can take a break and try again later

I would also suggest doing toilet breaks more around 30-45 minutes after every nap as soon as you wake in the morning after breakfast lunch etc that's when she would most likely need the toilet and even teach her the sign for pee and poo

We started when my LB was 2y8m June (as he's been on constipation medicine for over 1.5yrs) as adv by HV.
We read no more nappies book some time before.
Followed the Oh crap method. Barebum 3 days, day 4 shorts (commando) till approx end week 3. Started wearing boxers day 9 home. He smashed it.
Followed his lead didn't make him seat every 30mins, watched for signs and moved him to potty. Day 2 he was taking himself . Prompt when going out and if been 1hr30 in the beginning. He can now hold for 3/4 hrs and self initiates.

My daughter showed signs of readiness before 2, but the pediatrician recommended waiting because I was pregnant with #2 and introducing that many changes at once causes a challenge with regressions. I waited until my daughter was 2.5 and she did everything completely on her own on day one. I threw a pair of undies on her one day and she never wore a diaper again (she’s a little over 3 years old now).

My son is 18 months and he alerts me when he needs to go poop. If u are committed look on YouTube elimination communication. I have two under two so I haven’t committed to pee. However since my son was a newborn I read him books fast forward to now he loves books I I began early reading him potty books when his dad and I would go to the bathroom we put him in his potty and said baba or mama caca and kept doing that over and over now when he has to go he says caca and I praise him “yes caca good job” when i decide to commit to pee I’ll take him every 15 min till he gets it and hoping my second born catches on. Don’t let anyone discourage u there are many 3rd world countries who teach very very young because of lack of resources

We trained around 2 years old on and off. Realized it’ll come when she’s ready because she wasn’t showing clear signs of readiness. We put her in 3K at the age of 3 and she perfected by 3 1/2.

We did it at 21 months when our second baby was born!

He fully trained at 2y3m that was coincidentally when summer was and he can run around the backyard w his cousins in his undies playing w the hose lol my sisters helped me train him as I spent lots of weekends at her house, it was a team effort if I was making coffee or busy and he needed to pee they’d take him for me. Trained day in a weekend and we trained night about a week later after no accidents
