Period after Postpartum

It’s so different for every single woman!

It depends on if you’re planning on breast-feeding or formula feeding. Basically, hormones that make your lactate, postpone your periods, and a lot of women don’t get any periods while breast-feeding.

I am eight months postpartum, I’ve been exclusively pumping, and I’m just getting my period now. However, I had a friend, who breast-fed for 15 months, and she got her period two months after she stopped breast-feeding.🤷🏻‍♀️

I started my period 4 weeks after I had my first! But it is very different for everyone.

My period was so so heavy for the first few months. My cramps were intense and my back felt like it was on fire. I’ve always had heavier periods and bleed for 5 days. PP it was 7 days and very dark. I went to the OB and she reassured me that it was normal.

It’s different for each woman
By chance I had my first period after giving birth this morning and my LO is 17 months old
With my first born I had it 10 months later
With my second one I had it 11 month later

Average for breastfeeding moms is between 6-12 months postpartum. Mind started around 7 month pp

Mine was 9 months old when i got my first one pp. i didnt even realize it until it was there but all the signs were there 10 fold, the mood swings and hormones and all 🤣 looked right past all of it till the first day of my period and boom and all made sense.
