My baby is 11 days old and she’s been a good sleeper/feeder from birth. She’s just slept solidly for 4 and a half hours and is still sleeping now. Should I wake her for a feed or leave her to wake on her own?

My midwife said as long as the babies gaining weight not to wake
them

I’ve always been told that as long as they’re above their birth weight and gaining weight fine, then you don’t need to wake them.
That being said, personally I wouldn’t leave them longer than 5 hours at this age as apparently waking regularly protects them from sids

My baby is the same and I thinking the same so thank you for asking the question. My daughter who is now 4 was also the same and I never woke her.
I haven’t been waking her my 12 day old, I let her sleep as much as she wants, she’s gaining weight so I think I’ll just be led by her. The other day we were out in the buggy and she slept 5 hours - I was wrestling with myself not to wake her up and when she woke she had a really good feed and nappy change and seemed happy.
