Can any mamas help me out. My baby boy is only 2 months old and he’s already starting to turn away from breastfeeding. I was exclusively breastfeeding after giving birth to the point where my nipples got extremely sore and would sometimes bleed. I introduced him to bottle feeding and now he likes that more. He’ll latch for about 15-20 mins max and then I’ll have to give him a bottle to fill his belly. Before all this he was breastfeeding up to an hour sometimes. Has this happened to you ? What did you do? Do I give up breastfeeding and just exclusively pump or do I keep trying ?

Breast is not just food it’s comfort. So he was probably sucking for comfort or to sleep or both. My toddler still sucks for comfort and can nurse for an hour.

You can keep trying if you want. Or pump if you want. It’s up to you. You can also use a nipple shield to breastfeed and heal your nipples. And apply breastmilk on it and let it airdry. And don’t wear tight bras

If the shirt or bra hurts and causes friction with the raw part of your cracked nipple, you can apply coconut oil. Or wear breastmilk catchers that fit in your bra, it separates the clothes from your nipple and doesn’t squish your nipple. Letting it heal

My baby preferred the bottle because of faster flow less work.
