1 year old not walking nor crawling, only army crawling and feeling so stressed out about it

Hi!! I just want to see if there are moms that are on the same boat. My 1 year old is not yet walking nor crawling. Pediatrician says there’s no need to be worried yet and to wait and keep encouraging him because every baby is different but I feel guilty and a bad mom because I can’t stop comparing my baby with other babies🥺. I just feel like a bad mom because maybe I should be doing something I haven’t thought of yet in order to help him be more eager to move around.

So my son was not even one yet and they told me that they would refer him to babies cant wait but if they say there is no need to worry then don’t worry and don’t feel bad bc my baby just turnt 1 she crawling but not walking so it could just be that your little one is not ready

Also talk to your pediatrician about babies cant wait they help your little meet their milestone my son is now 2 will be 3 on Sunday and he didn’t start walking till after 3 months of he turning 1 they do physical therapy occupational therapy and speech therapy if needed

You don’t need to wait for your pediatrician to start early intervention. You can do a self referral online or by phone and list the reason that baby isn’t crawling which is considered a delayed milestone after 12 months. It sounds much scarier then it is but there are state resources available to help. Two specialist therapists usually come to your home to do a free initial evaluation then if you need further services they explain how it’ll work.

9-18 months is when babies start walking. Which is a pretty big range. Every baby is an individual. You are still within normal! It should.

I believe army crawling is considered crawling. I second what someone said earlier about early intervention/physical therapy. When my son was ~4ish months, he didn't turn his head very much and 3 months of physical therapy worked wonders... I would have never thought of doing those specific exercises.

I get it people also like to brag about their kids and it makes you feel worse. If it makes you feel better I nannied a little girl who didn’t walk until about 14 months

Crawling isn’t considered a milestone because some babies do skip it but as far as walking I have 13 month old that’s not walking yet she crawls pulls to stand will walk while holding onto furniture but
Isn’t unassisted walking which is completely normal unless u feel something is wrong I would bring it up but army crawling is considered crawling I know alittle baby that’s 13 months he just scoots on his bottom no walking for him yet so yeah don’t stress every baby is different

Here's an pediatric OT, Emma Hubbard , that does great videos and explanations. She was my go-to resource for my first when we struggled with things.

Self settling

Any tips or advice of how to teach 6.5month old to self settle? I’m up multiple times in the night to cuddle her back to sleep and put the dummy in. I understand she will wake up and want a cuddle etc but any tips on self settling would be appreciated 🥰

Hi ya'll

Is anyone else's 4 month old randomly screeching now? I'm not sure what to do and she's been doing this for the past two days. She's usually a quiet happy baby so im not sure why she's doing this now. Aby suggestions?

Breastfeeding

Does it ever feel better? The actual feeding part of it is going really well and baby boy is growing so well. I’m struggling with how my boobs feel day to day - it’s really getting me down most days. The let downs make me feel awful and sounds silly but, I am also really missing not wearing a bra! 9 weeks postpartum and still getting fairly engorged, even with comfort pumping.

Any advice or just shared stories would help. I’m so torn between carrying on because I enjoy the feeding side of it or switching to formula.

Help! First time mum -

I have a 4 month old and now all of a sudden when he’s been asleep for 1hr30/2hrs he will wake up screaming (high pitched) I’ve tried winding him sometimes that helps, I’ve tried bicycle legs & bringing his knees up but that doesn’t seem to help but he brings his knees up himself sometimes but nothing happens. I’ve noticed since the 4 month mark he has started to struggle passing wind downwards! Any tips?

Big nursing bras!

I’m looking for recommendations for good nursing bras for bigger breasted ladies!

I’m currently in a 38H which seems to be the biggest size done at M&S (UK based mama here) and it’s snug and not as supportive as I’d like. When I look online, they mainly seem to be sized S, M, L, XL etc rather than bra sizes.

Any recommendations please?
