6wo very fussy, esp around feeding

Hi!! My bub has been getting extra fussy this last week especially with feedings. I am EBFing but he has been crying a lot and when I try feed he is so distressed he won’t latch and when he does he will come on/off the boob. I can eventually get some milk in him but it’s a traumatic experience haha. But I worry he isn’t feeding well which is contributing to him being upset! I have tried a bottle at bed time to ensure he is getting some in. Has anyone else experienced this??

6 week growth spurt my baby was the same but then got so much better half way of week 7. Week 6 was by far the hardest week we had with her. 🙃

Unfortunately, it’s normal at this age. Definitely in the same boat in the evenings.

Same here 🥺 its called ‘purple’ crying

PURPLE stands for:
Peak of crying: More crying each week, peaking at 6–8 weeks.
Unexpected: Crying can start and stop without a clear reason.
Resists soothing: Baby may keep crying despite your efforts.
Pain-like face: Baby can look as if in pain, even when not.
Long lasting: Episodes can last several hours a day.
Evening: Crying often increases in the late afternoon or evening

Self settling

Any tips or advice of how to teach 6.5month old to self settle? I’m up multiple times in the night to cuddle her back to sleep and put the dummy in. I understand she will wake up and want a cuddle etc but any tips on self settling would be appreciated 🥰

Hi ya'll

Is anyone else's 4 month old randomly screeching now? I'm not sure what to do and she's been doing this for the past two days. She's usually a quiet happy baby so im not sure why she's doing this now. Aby suggestions?

Breastfeeding

Does it ever feel better? The actual feeding part of it is going really well and baby boy is growing so well. I’m struggling with how my boobs feel day to day - it’s really getting me down most days. The let downs make me feel awful and sounds silly but, I am also really missing not wearing a bra! 9 weeks postpartum and still getting fairly engorged, even with comfort pumping.

Any advice or just shared stories would help. I’m so torn between carrying on because I enjoy the feeding side of it or switching to formula.

Big nursing bras!

I’m looking for recommendations for good nursing bras for bigger breasted ladies!

I’m currently in a 38H which seems to be the biggest size done at M&S (UK based mama here) and it’s snug and not as supportive as I’d like. When I look online, they mainly seem to be sized S, M, L, XL etc rather than bra sizes.

Any recommendations please?

Help! First time mum -

I have a 4 month old and now all of a sudden when he’s been asleep for 1hr30/2hrs he will wake up screaming (high pitched) I’ve tried winding him sometimes that helps, I’ve tried bicycle legs & bringing his knees up but that doesn’t seem to help but he brings his knees up himself sometimes but nothing happens. I’ve noticed since the 4 month mark he has started to struggle passing wind downwards! Any tips?
