37 weeks plan, I'm currently 36 weeks

So I've been told, I will be getting induced before 38 weeks due to diabetes and cholestasis. Because it's beginning to feel so real now, the thought of natural birth is scaring the hell out of me, the unknown of how long it's going to take, if any complications happen etc, so I've been thinking about a c section. My husband is dead against the idea, due to the risks, recovery etc, he reads into things too much, and always sees the bad side

I've tried telling him, id rather have a planned section, than agree to have a natural birth but then be rushed off for a c section if anything was to happen. It's my body and I know it's on me to decide what to do but how hes been about it, makes me feel like the decision I make, isn't right😭 I said I'll speak to my Dr at the growth scan on Monday, and see what she thinks, as our little girl was measuring bigger than expected at our last growth scan

You’re totally valid in your fears, labor is not fun but also from what I’ve heard, C-sections aren’t much better than vaginal, just different! I was induced with my first at 40 weeks electively and the pain was unreal… but… I have a super low pain tolerance and my nurses were terrible and refused to get me any kind of pain medication/management. I also had her during Covid and wasn’t allowed to have more support during the labor and very rarely was checked on.
My sister had an emergency C-section with her first and needed to have C-sections with her subsequent other two as well. Her recovery was much harder than mine! She couldn’t hold her baby immediately after birth because they were still closing her up and she had to stay in the hospital a lot longer too.
I think regardless, your comfort levels are most important and you should definitely research both options!

I will also say that for me, the epidural was a total life saver when they finally let me have it after the nurse shift change! I didn’t feel a single thing after my epidural was placed. If you’re worried, definitely advocate for yourself and if your nurses end up not being helpful or supportive, you can definitely have your husband make sure you get a new nurse. I was 20 when I had my daughter and had no idea that was an option at the time but it totally is!

Scan needed at 33 weeks

Hi ladies! I just had a midwife appointment (I am 33+5)..the midwife was different to my usual midwife. She's requested I have a scan within 72 hours as she said baby is measuring a little small, however, she did say that it's likely nothing to worry about and it's probably just her measuring me a bit different to my usual midwife. Has anyone else had this? Am a bit worried although babys heartbeat and movements are completely fine.

Finding out gender

Has anyone found out the gender at a private scan at 14 weeks? And has this been accurate?

I found out at 17 with my first but I know a scan place that offers from 14/15 weeks and I’m impatient 😂🥲

Anyone been induced before? Was it more painful? Better than thought? Worse than thought? Worth it? Thoughts?
