My partner has just started putting our little one to bed with a bottle. Most nights she's grouchy/over tired and will have a cry when she finishes the bottle. He gives her a cuddle sat on the bed and lets her cry over his shoulder until she eventually cries herself to sleep (normally max 10 mins). I will always bounce and shush her to try and stop her crying before she falls asleep because I can't stand her being upset.
Is his method okay? I don't agree with the cry it out sleep training at all but she is being held close.
What do you guys think? I'm in two minds.

Most sleep consultants seem to say that crying in loving arms is not the same as crying alone/not being responded to. If it was me I'd probably feel that this is ok, if she's falling asleep in ten minutes it doesn't sound like she's inconsolable upset (also bear in mind, if your baby is anything like mine, I am his preferred option over dad lol so even if dad did try bouncing and shushing there would still be tears!)
