Hi all,
I exclusively pump for numerous reasons however at 5 week pp I’ve noticed baby is a lot more clingy and likes to be held close. She will settle in her bassinet for a while while I get things done however when it comes times to pump all of a sudden it’s like she is superwoman and knows bam. I’ve tried different times but this girl is good in knowing exactly when I need to pump (surprisingly it’s same when I go to lay down and nap) I have hands free and struggle to hold her how she likes to be held while pumping. Have you any suggestions?? Or however I can get this girl to tune out of throwing me off my plans 😂😂

I used to exclusively pump now I almost exclusively breastfeed lol. But she is probably smelling your milk try pumping while feeding that saved me a lot

I had this problem too. I would always feed my LB first, sit with him until his food went down, and then when he was in the rest of his wake window, pump as he was then happy on his play mat.
As awful as it sounds, sometimes you’ve just got to let them cry.
Have you tried the wearable breast pumps?

Do you wear breast pads? Apparently (although I have not tried it) you can put it next to them while they nap, so they smell you. My little girl is 8 weeks old and I pump using a handsfree pump so I can cuddle if needed xx

Could u pump one at a time? I find my wearables make it hard to hold Becos can’t pull in close to chest but if u only had one on? Then when she’s calm put other or switch sides for pump and baby?
