Can we just normalise how hard it is to ‘bounce back’. I’m 7 months postpartum and I feel so so crap everyday, nothing fits me still, I’m basically still living in clothes I wore during pregnancy and I hate what I see when I look in the mirror.
Is this normal?

I feel the same! Was actually strangely body confident during pregnancy but not now. I'm nearly 6m pp and thought I'd feel much better by now. Lost a bit of weight at 3-4m pp but its all back on. So frustrating 😫

100000000000% agreed!!!
6½ months pp and I'm in the worst shape of my life! Constantly tired, gained a lot of weight since giving birth and there aren't enough hours in a day to do everything!

Amen I can relate so so much! I agree it’s horrible!
Have no time to do anything and 0 money

Felt that😪 I’ve even had family members even ask if I’m pregnant again I just keep asking myself if I really look that big

No way that’s horrible😢 I mean I’m bloated 24/7 which doesn’t help! No one should comment on someone’s weight ever! 😫

I felt this way too. I never felt the same in my pp body and none of my clothes ever fit the same again. I ended up just trying to get some new items slowly that I felt good in. I am 35 weeks with my second now and am really not looking forward to that part of pp.

Yes I feel the same! I’m only just starting to lose weight I gained during pregnancy but not much, still not back to my pre-baby body. I’m just trying to get a few things that I feel comfy and myself in, and I’ve really invested in some nice skincare bits and hair shampoo as I feel that makes me feel a bit better! Nobody ever told me it would be so hard and I thought that I’d be back to normal in 6-8 weeks🫠😂

I totally relate, I’m 9m pp and I gained so much during pregnancy I literally have 3 shirts and 3 shorts (the same just different colors) and that’s it. I hate it. I still feel like I look pregnant sometimes

Can related also put on a lot of weight while pregnant and got told breastfeed the weight will come off but I’m constantly eating crap! Agree with everyone else tired, not enough hours. Living in baggy t shirts and stretchy wide leg trousers 🫠🫠 don’t get me started on hair loss 🥹

God it’s so nice to hear other girls are in the same situation.
It’s horrible, people don’t realise how much it can knock your confidence!
It’s horrible hearing girls struggling but that’s all part of having a baby I guess 😅
Nice to be on this app so I can share how I feel!

I had my second baby 6 months ago and I still hate the way my body looks without clothes. Hopefully I'll have the confidence to feel better once I get clothes for my body type.

Ahhh I feel the same !

I think we need to normalise that there is no need to bounce back and not setting up that “bounce back” as an expectation or goal. I am working on loving my new self instead of trying to change or bring back something that is gone. I hope I can manage to keep this mentality…

Amen to that! We created a beautiful human

I think for me PP I felt flabby, I felt weak, I didn’t feel myself I didn’t feel this body belonged to me, I was scared of seeing other mums still pee themselves 6m, a year later so I worked my butt off to mainly get my strength back that I lost. Having something to go to 1-2* a week was also my sanity my break I mean I have a friend who does have a gym membership but she doesn’t actually gym she just lounges in the spa and sauna and just through that (from sweating) she lost so much weight but she wasn’t intending to lose the weight it was more of relaxing, a break for her. I think for many women PP it’s not the look of the bounce back they want (for some it is)? Its the feel of the bounce back. For me working on my core also indirectly worked on my pelvic floor so I can jump w my boy at trampoline places and not, pee myself. I didn’t want to buy a new wardrobe either so there’s that too. Many reasons why a woman would want to. For me the pressure came from inside my own head.
