Stuck between which one to buy! Can anyone advise on pros/cons and are these both definitely cabin approved? My toddler is nearly 2 years old. TIA

I have the original Joolz aer which I love. I also liked the butterfly when I went to look at it but I went for the Joolz just because I got a good deal on it as it was when the + came out. I have had really good customer service from them too, I had a problem with the brake and then just sent me a whole new frame, I recently lost part of the harness strap and they just sent me a new one for free so I know they take good care of their customers. I’ve taken it on 3 holidays and it’s been in the cabin for every flight.
There are lots of comparison videos on Instagram you can look at. I think the butterfly may have a hood that comes down further and may have a better recline function but the recline on the Joolz has never bothered me.

We have the Joolz Aer+! It’s cabin approved, I have been able to take it with me in the cabin multiple times, it never had to go in the hold. Only downside I find is that it doesn’t come with footrest and handlebar, we bought those seperately. I have also looked at the Butterfly but found the seat too narrow. My son is 1.5year and I was worried he would grow out of the Butterfly too soon. We have also used the Joolz Aer+ with newborn bassinet as I’m personally not a fan of outward facing babies.
The Stroller Workshop makes great videos on Youtube which might help you decide!

I have the Joolz aer 2 and love it. It comes with the footrest attached unlike the previous version but you do have to pay for the bumper bar. The way the bumper bar attaches annoys me a bit as it’ll often fall off if you open it too far to get LO out. Other than that it’s great. Can fold / unfold and lift one handed

I have the bugaboo butterfly 2 and love it, the reason I went for it over the joolz (after much deliberation) was the hood as you can cover the mesh vent bit which I wanted to do in the sun and was told the mechanism to lie the seat down and up is easier on the bugaboo (but not done that on the Joolz so can't personally comment on that). My friend has borrowed it with her 2.5 year old and he has plenty of room in it.

I think you’d be very happy with either! We run thursdays-child.co.uk hiring travel prams, so familiar with different options. My view is the Joolz Aer 2 and Butterfly 2 are the best premium options, both lie flat, have large seats and integrated leg rests so little one will be comfortable in both 😊
The Joolz Aer2 is slightly smaller and lighter than the Butterfly 2 and has smaller and lighter wheels, making the Joolz easier to travel with but the Butterfly would be better on uneven ground and feels a little more sturdy.
The lie flat mechanism on the Joolz means the extra fabric is neatly zipped into the back of the pram making it really easy to fold/unfold and carry whereas on the Butterfly 2 the extra fabric clips up at the back which I find is bulky and makes it a little more difficult to carry.
In terms of cabin approved, check your airlines cabin bag size policy, and the pram would count as a cabin bag.
Overall my preference is the Joolz Aer2, I hope this helps ☺️☀️
Thanks everyone, very helpful insights! ☺️
