Aldi/lidl nappies

Hi!
What is everyone’s opinion on Aldi/Lidl nappies? I am currently using pampers for my 4.5 month old little boy and just find them so expensive! I tried the Aldi nappies when he was a newborn and loved them but I have heard that the older the child gets the nappies don’t work aswell? Is this true? Please can people recommend any other cost friendly nappies that they use or if you would recommend the Aldi/lidl nappies, let me know!!

TIA xx

Hey, I’ve used Aldi nappies the whole time and she is 8 months old now but if you want to try different Morrisons are not bad either x

I've always found Aldi really good and never had any leaks as they've grown.

My child is 15 months old and I have tried in their first month all the types you can ever find around and even ordered some online from Italy thinking I want to take care of them in the best way. Our conclusion is Aldi ones are the best and they happen to be in a good price too. Pampers are bad and expensive for no good reason! So overrated and I feel like they steal peoples money by their good advertisement while in reality they are nothing better or special. I also went to a baby massage session in which we get the babies clothes off to massage them and I have noticed all the mothers in that session with me used also aldi so it’s not just for my child.

Aldi are great, never had any problems with them

Also used mostly Aldi! On size 3 now and no issues. Also using Asda ones which are fine too.

Always used Aldi, Lidl, or Tesco and never had any issues

My daughter is 14 months and other than the first month where we used pampers, we’ve always used Aldi and I’ve never had any issues. We’re in size 4 xx

Rascals are good imo! They’re not the cheapest but also not as expensive as pampers x

Used Aldi and Tesco since birth never had an issue. Tried Lidl nappy and wipes and found my little girl always come out in a rash with them

I used Aldi with my first with no issues 5 years ago. When we tried them with baby number 2 (4 months old) every single nappy leaked. We've used Lidl with very few leakages, but have mainly used Sainsbury's with no real issues.

I found Aldi to be good up until size 3. Size 4 and above nappy wise not great but we switched over to the pull ups which are great

Always used Aldi nappies with no issues. Currently using size 4

We still really like the Aldi nappies and pull up pants in size 4 for during the day and just use pampers overnight

Avatar

I prefer Aldi nappy pants but Tesco is my go to.

We used Aldi they have been great never tried Lidl ones. X

Both work great

I use Aldi nappies and have been since birth. He’s now 13 months and still no issues yet. Currently using size 5+

I’m currently using aldi nappies on my almost 5 month old and I’ve never had any problems

Hey we use a combination of Aldi and Asda nappies. We use Asda at night as slightly more expensive but holds all her wee (Aldi was leaking at night) but we do use Aldi in the day :) we like them!
Never been a fan of Lidl nappies, never been quite the right fit for my babies.

Aldi nappies are great, I tried Lidl but I didn't like them

Avatar

We stopped using them from size 3 as they kept leaking. Moved onto using the Morrisons Nutmeg range, reasonably priced and a much better fit etc

Avatar

I only ever used Lidl nappies for mine and never had any issues

I found Aldi newborn sizes 1-3 to be good, beyond size 3 we had leaks and I found the need to change way more frequently and they would give off this stringy residue like the nappy was falling apart. I wasn't impressed with Lidl nappies at all very thin and not good quality.

We use Pampers and Rascals Premium (nappy pants) Sainsbury's is also a good brand I would recommend if you find Pampers pricey. I always use Pampers for overnight.

Aldi nappies are great !

I didn’t like Lidl, had lots of leaks.. heard good things about aldi. Tesco nappies are Brillant, they are less than £3

Avatar

I think they’re great. I used Asda for the longest time, now I use Aldi. And they’ve both been great. I think Asda has less leakage compared to Aldi in my opinion.

Avatar

Used aldi nappies since birth never had a problem, although for some reason size 4 seems better than size 3 so size that one up as soon as you can

Avatar

I’ve used Aldi nappies from birth, he’s 6 months now and not had any problems

Avatar

Stopped using Aldi at size 3 & went to rascals.. we use the pull ups for my 9mth & my 2yr old & can’t fault them

Avatar

We’ve tried all of them and it really just depends what size, we used pampers when he was size 1, Asda and Sainsbury’s when he was size 2, Aldi size 3 and now we’re using Aldi and Tesco size 4. Every make different and they’re all different sizes! Asda were amazing but size 3 didn’t have the packet at the back so there were leaks! I noticed the size 4 Aldi nappies sometimes leaked when we started using them but I think that’s cos they were slightly too big

Avatar

I started to use Aldi after my first born was 6 months as he started to need plenty more changes in the day since solids 🤣 currently 13 months and work fine.

Tesco Fred & Flo!! My 18 month old has done great with them, started on pampers as a newborn, eventually stopped working, tried Aldi and same issue. Fred & Flo have been great

Self settling

Any tips or advice of how to teach 6.5month old to self settle? I’m up multiple times in the night to cuddle her back to sleep and put the dummy in. I understand she will wake up and want a cuddle etc but any tips on self settling would be appreciated 🥰

Hi ya'll

Is anyone else's 4 month old randomly screeching now? I'm not sure what to do and she's been doing this for the past two days. She's usually a quiet happy baby so im not sure why she's doing this now. Aby suggestions?

Breastfeeding

Does it ever feel better? The actual feeding part of it is going really well and baby boy is growing so well. I’m struggling with how my boobs feel day to day - it’s really getting me down most days. The let downs make me feel awful and sounds silly but, I am also really missing not wearing a bra! 9 weeks postpartum and still getting fairly engorged, even with comfort pumping.

Any advice or just shared stories would help. I’m so torn between carrying on because I enjoy the feeding side of it or switching to formula.

Help! First time mum -

I have a 4 month old and now all of a sudden when he’s been asleep for 1hr30/2hrs he will wake up screaming (high pitched) I’ve tried winding him sometimes that helps, I’ve tried bicycle legs & bringing his knees up but that doesn’t seem to help but he brings his knees up himself sometimes but nothing happens. I’ve noticed since the 4 month mark he has started to struggle passing wind downwards! Any tips?

Big nursing bras!

I’m looking for recommendations for good nursing bras for bigger breasted ladies!

I’m currently in a 38H which seems to be the biggest size done at M&S (UK based mama here) and it’s snug and not as supportive as I’d like. When I look online, they mainly seem to be sized S, M, L, XL etc rather than bra sizes.

Any recommendations please?
