My Baby's birth weight was 2.8kg and she dropped to 2.58kg in 5 days. So doctor has asked me to give top feed using formula as my breastmilk doesn't seem to be sufficient. Everywhere I hear everyone is talking about breastfeeding exclusively. Is everyone just breastfeeding and not using top feed?
I am really feeling bad that I am not able to produce enough. I have started pumping also but the quantity in that is also low.
Looking forward to replies to understand if this is just my scenario.

Hey, I don't see it as a problem because initially, the baby weight weights drop and then after some time it gets picked up. Also initially, mostly, everybody has to give the top feed because it takes time for the milk supply to be sufficient So, it's perfectly normal as for me, even my baby weight was what is 2.5 kg while when he was born and then initially dropped which is very common and happens with every baby and even my supply initially in the first 10 days was not sufficient and I had to give top feed but eventually it got all normal.
