Our girls room is the floor below so I wouldn’t hear her until she was really upset so will use it as long as I need to

We used to but have recently stopped using the monitor - I think it's easier seens as we live in a flat so he's on the same level as us so it's a lot easier for us to hear him if he wakes!
I think it's all about whether you feel comfortable without the monitor, there's no issue with keeping it if it makes you feel reassured abit more! My son is 3 in November btw, I hope that helps a little🫶🏼

I didn't plan on stopping the monitor use as of yet but it kinda just happened. She is in the room next to us and is very good at calling out (for especially me) if she needs one of us! I do debate using one still often as it feels very odd not being able to see her constantly like before!

we've still got ours but have recently moved him into a bigger bedroom and now we can't really see much on it so might switch to a noise only one - we still have the sides on the cot too as he doesn't attempt to climb out but thinking of taking those off after xmas.

We do but it's sound only

Removed just before she turned 2. Leave her door slightly open and we sleep in the same floor. We also have a baby gate fitted to her door so she can’t leave on her own xx
Thanks all for your input, its really really helpful
I also still use and will for as long as possible because my Daughter is potentially Autistic but wanted to see if that was the case for all children of her age group regardless of any medical conditions so thank you 🥰

We switched from a monitor to a Ring camera. Works well for us. Our house has four floors and she’s on the top, so we’ll probably use it to communicate with/see her for a while yet!

I have one but we’ve never really used it tbh, we were on one floor for ages and would hear her in her cot so didn’t see the point.
Now we’re at my parents in a house until we move to our new home and we still don’t use one, if she wakes up it will be when we’re both in bed in the night and she comes in our room (shes no longer in her cot).
