Have a next to me crib for upstairs but downstairs do not have anything yet for supervised daytime sleeps.
Would someone recommend one over the other?
1. Najell sleep carrier - pro: good for out of house and more transportable indoors. Cons: grows out in 3-4 months
2. Moses basket - pro: similar price and elevated position, lasts longer. cons: lacks transportability outside home
Could just buy both but that’s a few hundred £ out the door and prefer to buy new vs. vinted on these items.
Thanks!

I would say just the Moses basket. The najell is really nice but so pricey and you can still transport the Moses basket around the house as they usually have handles. Didn’t have either with my first as we lived in a flat so just lugged his next to me around but we’ve finally moved into a house so have the next to me for upstairs and a Moses basket for downstairs. And also if you’re planning on going out but baby needs a sleep, you can just put them in the pram ready to go and most are safe for sleep

I’ve been trying to talk myself out of getting the Najell, it looks so nice! This is my 3rd baby so I do already have the Moses basket but I’ve heard such good things about the carrier.
I suppose you have to ask yourself are you going to do much walking from your house that you can put the carrier in the pram without disturbing babe?
I’m still so tempted as even if you buy new, they sell so well on Vinted so if you sell it on then you are only down by like £60 once you sell it on… not too bad 🤣
Do what makes you happy and what you can afford 🫶

I bought the najell sleep carrier second hand as I know it’s got a short life. I couldn’t resist it!

I’m getting the Najell. 2nd baby present for myself 😄 for my first we just used the pram carrycot downstairs which was actually great, but now the car will be less spacious with the 2 kids it’s not gonna be as easy to get the carrycot in & out so often. More like Tetris now. So I wanted something else for indoors that i could move around & easily take to parents/in-laws too. Let alone be able to move baby up & downstairs sleeping if my toddler is dragging me all around the house. Total splurge but we’ve bought nothing else that isn’t totally necessary!

Thanks, Em, that’s really helpful especially the discount/basket add details. Good luck with your second baby. It sounds like it makes a lot of sense especially if you’re working in Tetris like spaces!
